You could be, go see your doctor, and get on the pill, or Implanon. You're really too young to be having sex, having an abortion at your age could cause damage. Tell your mother, and tell her you want to get on birth control so this doesn't keep happening.

DrPsych agony auntAn abortion at your age is a big deal psychologically as well as physically. To have put yourself at risk of another unwanted pregnancy quickly means that you are really not coping with doing adult things in a non-adult body. That is not intended to be patronising - it just seems you are too scared to talk to your mother, yet not scared enough to say no to more sex. I think your anxiety about being pregnant tells me that you are not ready to be having this sort of relationship. You don't seem able to say 'no' and give your body chance to sort itself out. The hormonal adjustment following a failed pregnancy takes a while - I have had two miscarriages and they have left me feeling sick and tired for a long time afterwards. I think you need to see a doctor for a check-up and a scan to see what is happening. I think you need to put your fear of your mother aside and accept that if you are old enough to put yourself at risk of pregnancy, you are old enough to deal with an hysterical mother (who will be angry because she loves you and doesn't want you to stuff up your body and your future).

A female reader, HonningKanin Norway +, writes (11 October 2009):

HonningKanin agony auntThere is a possibility that you could still be pregnant. However, there is a possibility that you could be not pregnant and just going through the pregnancy symptoms. Even though an abortion removes the fetus from the womb and stops the pregnancy, that does not stop the body from thinking it is pregnant. The body could just be releasing all the chemicals associated to pregnancy. It can and will take time for your body to regain its chemical equilibrium.

I would however go back to the doctors and get tested as caring guy stated. I also am asking you to get onto birth control if you are not already on it. Also be sure your partner is wearing a condom.

You're only a kid, respect your body!

Quit shagging!

OR at least use a condom!

Jeez!

It sounds like you might be. Get to the doctor as quickly as you can and get tested. Also, please make sure that you use protection in the future, or you are going to get into a lot more trouble. Get to the doctor.
