What actions should I take to protect myself from this demanding girl who's behaviour concerns me?

Question - (5 April 2013) 6 Answers - (Newest, 5 April 2013)
A male United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I got talking to this girl on a dating website on Wednesday. She asked me firstly would I pay for sex! Obviously, I said no.

I gave her my number and I thought all was legitimate, until she asked for £2500 to 'make her flat habitable' because she had had it broken into.

She rang me to tell me, she said she has mental anxieties, OCD as well. She said if I lent her the money, she'd do anything.

I know this is a scam, but what can I do?

MsSadie agony auntEnd all contact. Block her number, if possible.

Next time, don't give out your phone number so soon. If someone asks you if you'll pay for sex, they probably aren't the kind of person you want to have your phone number.

So_Very_Confused agony auntend all contact with her. block her number if you have it. delete and block all social media as best you can.

that's all you can do.

you may want to report it to the dating site that she's essentially prostituting herself on their site as i'm sure that's not legal.

you owe her nothing.

What can you do? How on the world is the answer (stop talking to her) not totally obvious?

k_c100 agony auntAs Oldbag has said - block any possible way for her to contact you. Block her on the dating site and report her to the site admin as she will be trying to scam more than one man, the site needs to be aware of her. Call your network provider (Orange, O2 etc) and get them to block her number from contacting you, they can easily do this free of charge.

Once you have blocked her, just move on and forget about it. And be more careful next time - if a woman messages you asking if you would pay for sex, then she is not the kind of woman you should be giving your number to. Be more selective with who you hand your number out to!

oldbag agony auntHi

Block her on the dating site, if you can, block her number too.

Ignore her, don't respond to any message or pick up the phone calls.

Wise up too, you sound very niaive - if a woman asks if you would pay for sex then, unless you want to pay, block her without responding. Not give out your number at least until you are certain she is sane.

Which Dating Site is it, is it a paid one or free?
