A male United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Basically, I am 19 and in university I work part time and for a while I really hated my boss, I met him on a night out one night and seen a side of him that I didn't see in work (a side I liked).

At first I thought I was just having a crush but he then messaged me and ever since we have been texting back and forth he has asked me out on dates and I really think he is my type but in work we only really talk about work related business and also he is 10 years older.

I know its a big age difference but im very mature for my age I don't live with my parents and I am quite an independent person but I know my family wouldn't approve should I end this relationship, before I get sucked in too deep?

aunt honesty agony auntFor me the age difference shouldn't make a difference as you are both adults and know what you are doing. However dating your boss is a big no no, if it was not to work out imagine how awkward it would be at work? Not to mention that you would probably end up having to look for another job. I guess it depends on yourself and how important this job is to you? If its not the find another part time job and continue to date him and see how it goes.

Sageoldguy1465 agony auntGetting "too close" to a "boss" usually ends up in disaster... and the subordinate gets the short end of the stick.....

Go for it, if you wish... but know that the odds are NOT in your favor!!!!

Good luck...
