I agree with Smeedle, I too, seem to have less hair as I have aged. Even though my 'blonde' hair is bought and paid for many times over (Clairol hides those pesky grays)-I'd rather be this age, future hairy ears and all. It could be a lot worse...I could've had 'zits' and gray hair, all at the same time. (heh heh)

My favourite age was 24 to 27, I thought I had it all and lived my life to the max, i was a very naughty girl and burnt the candle at both ends, oh the naughtyness!! My first sexual experience was at 15 and he was 18, and at first I hated it, loved him though and wish I had understood him better, his name was chris and he was a golf pro. the fantastic times we had I just wish I had had the wisdom I have now when I was with him. My stupid age was 20 when I threw away my first love and dated a wonderful guy called Neil, I did not deserve his love and treated him really badly and in the end it ended and I still regrett my selfishness and mistrust, I had it all and lost it, then came the years of naughtyness!! the result was ending up as a single mum, which put paid to any naughtiness for some time, until i joined the T.A then it all started again. There is a lot more to the lives and times of smeedle and as im sitting here feeling maudlin and drinking whisky which im only allowed to drink on my own as it is a mood alterant for me, i just felt compelled to share stuff. tommorow I will no doubt regret it as I open my eyes and put on my glasses (no I do not have teeth to put in as well!) lol, have a swig of coke (diet of course it is first thing in the morning!)and charge up the computer to see what went on at dear cupid over night. Forgot, also will have brushed teeth!! Do any other agony aunts or uncles have times in there life that were more better than others?

"no I do not have teeth to put in as well!" [laughs until my colleagues glare at me suspiciously] Hmmm... Super naughty at 24 to 27 eh? Nice! Nowadays I crave to open my bottle of Golden Label, but made a promise to someone close that unless I earn my first 100k all at one go, I won't be opening it at all. Since I can't make paragraphs, please forgive me... Hmm... [strokes fuzzy chin] My happiest days thus far would be very far and very few. I started working 'unofficially' doing my own business at the under-ripe young age of 9, selling binders in my neighborhood. Been going through bad times but also some very memorable times in high school. Started up my own multimedia firm at age 18, ran it for 3 years, failed, banished from home, lost love, betrayal of 3 childhood friends (business partners), but fortunately, reunited with a long lost friend, met some new ones, and for about a year, played around, took everything like a game. Then came someone who greatly healed a part of my wounds, made me super happy. Then did freelancing for 2 years, joined a mobile marketing company (been with them since), fooled around a bit with some women, met my ex, great for first bit, hot and cold for last year, broke-up, now I'm here...

My favourite ages were between 20 and 24, travelled a lot, meet some great people who had a huge impact on my life. Meet some losers, and found some diamonds, none of which I married, but at the time that was the last thing on my mind anyhow! Fell in love with Australia and still wished I lived there to this day. Had loads of fun living in Spain, but couldn't handle the Sangria, which lead to much naughtiness (using your phrases Smeedle) and much happiness....Ahh the good old days, careless and fancy free, and I wouldn't change a minute of it!

17-21 was my favourite. People dont believe me when I tell them stories of what I did then but I can excuse it because 'I was young'. Got married and had a kid after 22 so had to grow up quickly (plus my husband wouldnt let me socialise so lost all my friends!!) aah..... to be 17 again..... [stares dreamily into space]

My 16th summer is unforgettable. (Sigh) His name was Bart and he was amazing! lol But I do admit, I have immenseley enjoyed the past 5 years to present.(45-50) and I plan to enjoy many more years to come. Life lessons, maturity and well earned wisdom certainly do help one to become more stronger and get things in perspective. I love where I'm at right now.

52 - and still learning..! Hope now that I've reached this grand old age I've stopped making silly mistakes. Why is it that we can look at others' lives objectively and sort out their problems, but when it comes to our own we so often find ourselves floundering?? Emotions and desires make such impenetrable smoke-screens, I suspect...

Try not to be depressed really. It's not bad at all. I mean who really dictates years anyway? According to the Chinese Dragon Calendar, I am already 29. Actually, I'm turning 28 in 10 days.

It's a bit complex, but January 4th, 2007 is roughly translated to the 78th Cycle, in the Bing-Xu year, 11th month, 16th day. There are 29.5 days per month and based on the phases of the moon. Each cycle is equalled to 12 years hence the 12 animals of the zodiac.

There is actually a 13th month in the Chinese Lunar Calendar that 'fixes' the irregularity of the natural world versus the timing of the Lunar years.

In the Gregorian Calendar, there are 365 days. In the Lunar Calendar, there are 354 days. However, to keep it simpler, if you look at a Lunar Calendar, it's often simply written as 29 or 30 days.

Ah I feel so confused yet not... 8/

I'm 18, 19 in September. :) Still got plenty more years left to live and many more experiences to go through. (Provided I don't get shot or anything. lol) I look older for my age (so I'm told) and in groups of people I always get labelled as 'the sensible one'... oh well. It comes in handy because I don't get asked for ID so it's fair I guess.

I keep noticing things about me when i look in the mirror. The other morning i found a long hair on my chin for gods sake. what the hell is that all about!!!!Will i have to start shaving my chin now im past forty? it sucks, growing older. saying that though i wouldnt want to be a teenager again for nothing. that sucked even more.

Willy, if you think about it though, it just means you get to live longer AND you'll look younger at an older age... 8]

David, I always thought for some reason, you're in your mid 50's... 8o

Vina - alas, I'm nearing 28 and people joke I have eternal youth, despite the tired eyes and gray hairs. I would say I get checked for ID more than never get checked. 89

Nikita, it must be the drinking that's causing you to grow hairs on your chin... Like those darn dwarfs and their ale. 8]

And Dr. Pete, again, I thought you were 36 for some reason... 8o

Martini

I kinda grew up from 16 to age 24 on this music website and we used to have big internet meetups at the various raves and parties that were on and everyone used to be amazed when they met me for the first time, they thought I was in my 50s or 60s!!!

Back then (in the day) I used to write very seriously and be an argumentitive cnut, I also loved 'fishing' (winding people up, which I am surprisingly good at) Nowadays I tend to see the bright side of life and not get too serious.

I do though remember having a minor disagreement with willy way back last year, other than that I don't think I've had any run'ins with anyone else(!!)

haha.

No unfortunately not :)

I have been to New Jersey, New York and San Francisco.

I have always wanted to have a mass road trip across the states, it's always appealed to me more than travelling around Thailand or something. One day maybe :)
