Hi friends. My problem may sound really silly but I really need some help please. I have a marriage ceremony to attend day after tomorrow and I have soooo many pimples on my forehead.

I understand that having pimples is normal but it’s too much and some of them have even turned black.

Please friends help me out.

Added to the disaster I am quite fat and it seems that all my clothes have turned small! And I don’t want to buy anything expensive for a single occasion which seems a waste to me.

And to think of borrowing is next to impossible because I don’t know any one of my width!!

And those clothes which are fitting pretty well aren’t matching at all.

Top I have peacock green and bottom that fits is red! Help me out friends I’m in deep soup!

I had been using Burt's Bees for acne. Salicylic acid is a good treatment for acne. Remember not to dry out your skin too much because it can become red, irritated, and flaky. I use as many natural products as I can. Witch Hazel as an astringent, tea tree oil, and also cleansing the liver I use milk thistle which you can purchase in a health food store. Stay away from any foods that can cause allergy or breakouts. Some people are allergic to milk and eating fried foods also.

Hope this helps.

YouWish agony auntI'll give you the benefit of the doubt here. Get something nice, and make it nice enough to use for more than one occasion! A sari is beautiful no matter what your body type is. I'll tell you what, the best wedding I have ever been to was, in fact, in Chennai (back when it was Madras), and I had a blast and a half! Wear something COMFORTABLE!

As for your face, avoid grease, eat fresh fruit, and abstain from makeup until the day. The other aunts have fantastic advice to follow as well!

Anonymous 123 agony auntBoth the other aunts have given you great advice and the only thing I can add is, why don't you wear a traditional Indian sari instead of what you're planning to wear? It looks sexy, it covers you up in all the right places and its elegant. You can always borrow a sari of your mom's and buy a blouse.

Abella agony auntDid you know that stress can make your skin worse?

So make sure that you are drinking plenty of fresh cool water.

And get plenty of sleep before the wedding day.

Wash your hands several times each day and cleanse your skin twice a day.

No makeup in the lead up to the wedding as makeup can clog your pores.

Once your skin has been well cleansed then soak some tea bags in warm water for two minutes. Then let then cool. Then squeeze most of the liquid out of the tea bag and place the cooled tea bags over the most affected skin areas. The Tannins in the tea bags will help to calm the skin.

Afterward place a cool fresh damp cloth over the same skin area. Allow yourself to meditate and stay calm while you let your skin enjoy the pampering and the coolness of the damp cloth on your skin.

You can also apply a drying mask. Beat up one egg white. (not the yolk) and spread the beaten egg white over the affected skin. Allow it harden over the next hour. your skin will appear to tighten the pores on your skin.

Then remove with cool water.

Keep on drinking plenty of water.

I am sure that you will find something contrasting or complementary to wear that "works" for you. Sometimes non-matching colors can work. It depends on the colors.

For instance Navy and acqua can look good together.

Sometimes a bright yellow can work with a pale blue.

Peacock blue can look good with gold - think of the way the Ancient Egyptians used those two colors to very good effect.

One thing to remember at a wedding. Everyone is looking at the Bride. It is the Bride's special day. What each guest wore is hardly ever remembered. People really do remember the bride and what she wore.

Hi there,

About the pimples - have lots of water until then, and also Green Tea or herbal teas that help cleanse your body. That's the internal bit. Also, don't have any sugar until then because I notice I get pimples when I eat sugary things. External, get whatever required (ask at make-up counters) to hide the flaws and it should be better. If you can't afford make up right now, ask them to show you how you can hide the flaws, and perhaps ask for samples (which you use on the day)

About the outfit - the peacock green top sounds lovely, perhaps just get a black skirt which is slimming and you can buy one that fits properly.

Try your best but it will be all about the BRIDE :) and you just do YOUR best for YOURSELF. Don't let others judge you, you don't have to be "perfect" just be yourself, and give it your best.

Enjoy the occasion!

Best Wishes

The amount of work and effort that goes into a wedding is huge, the least you can do is turn up looking your best as the photos they have of everyone they will have forever. So firstly go and buy and outfit that fits you and actually matches. Personally I feel it's quite disrespectful to turn up looking a mismatch when they have worked so hard to make they're day beautiful. You don't have to spend much, I doubt your shoes are too small so find your best shoes and buy something that will go with them.

With only a couple of days you've left it too late to do anything with your spots. Make sure you have a good skin care routine (wash with a specific spot facial wash, cleanse your skin and use a non oily moisturiser) and this is something you should do everyday. For the wedding your just going to have to cover up your spots rather than cure them.

Could you have a fringe cut in? That would hide those on your forehead and your hair will look fresh and new. Also, when shopping for your outfit stop by and get some concealer and foundation. I could write a step by step but actually search YouTube for videos on spot cover up and you will see how well you can hide your spots.

It's not the sort of make up you can use everyday because you'll probably end up getting a few more spots but for a special occasion like a wedding it's worth it. From these videos you'll get an idea of what products to use. Don't have to buy the brands they're using just go for a similar product.
