 We don't care. It can be erect in any direction as long as it's average sized.
Our "fantasies", at least mine, deal far more with feeling his erection pressing against me, feeling his skin as he touches me, his breath on my neck. If I absolutely must imagine a naked guy he needs to be hot looking. I actually think guys look more sexy with a boxer on where you can see the bump, rather than the erect penis.
Really.. naked med and erect penises doesn't do all that much for me..? If that helps explain. I know guys get turned on my tits and other body parts. For most women it's a bit different I guess. I get way more turned on my strong arms than an erect penis...

I have heard the same thing, but what I have heard more than anything is that a man's gentleness and his demeanor are far more important than looking at his penis. Also, I was surprised to know that length and size of a penis are not nearly important for a woman. Guys who are thinking about penile size and appearance are probably more concerned about their own inadequacies and their own narcistic concerns, rather than those of their female partner. The guy above needs to get with it and think about his partner and not himself.

 I hate to break it to you, but most girls probably don't fantasize too much about the penis. They fantasize more about the man, what he looks like, how he treats the girl, how the man makes her feel. Looking at a naked penis won't make most women 'horny.' It would be like looking at an anatomy textbook. Not all that interesting and actually just a little peculiar.
If women spent a lot of time looking/thinking about the penis, there would be many more magazines of naked men targeting women. Those tend not to do well, as women aren't as visually aroused by men.
My suggestion is to recognize that women are wired differently than men, and expecting them to respond as you might to certain visuals is setting yourself up for disappointment.

As for whether a penis is upward, downward or straight has never occurred to me at all. But then I have actually gotten horny over a penis either, it always been about the guy not his member which excites me.
