A female reader, anonymous, writes (21 March 2014):

I found a list of women of my ex-boyfriends ex-girlfriends. "Contacts" the list was called in his writing, her friends and the list was circled where they worked and if they were married or single. My ex-boyfriend was mining her contacts in case they broke up, which they did so that he could give these other women a call. I got suspicious of him when I was telling him about my friend that lives in another who is beautiful and he wanted to know if I would mind telling him what her name was AND this was on our second date. Needless to say, he is history. So watch out. Your boyfriend "may" be doing the same thing, but through Facebook.

Tisha-1 agony auntWhy doesn't your boyfriend know your friends?

I would ask him, "Hey, Brian, I saw that you had friended Natalie and Sara and Jessica on FB. As you haven't met them yet, I just wondered why you'd befriend them on FB?'

Honeypie agony auntHow long have you been dating?

And DID you ask him why?

I DO find it odd. And I would definitely ask him why, because unless he has met them and they get a long, I can't see WHY he would do it, other then to keep tabs on you.

Well, it's a little silly to be jealous over it IMO.

My greater concern would be the possibility that he's doing it to keep tabs on YOU.

I agree it's a little odd, I'm just reading a different possible motive than you are.
