A female reader, anonymous, writes (10 December 2009):

Children shouldn't have sex or do anything they'd be ashame to tell their mom about so I suggest that not only you get tested but you speak to your parents. I truly hope you aren't because the world doesn't need any more kids having kids.

If you can barely take care of yourself try not to have sex! people are not stupid that they tell girls barely into their teens to not have sex just because they can!

A female reader, old-spinstah United Kingdom +, writes (10 December 2009):

If you had unprotected sex (no contraception of any kind) and you have been having sex regularly the chances of pregnancy a high.

If you used a method of contraception, it's a lot less likely but still possible. The chances increase if sex has been regular or if he entered you unprotected at any time (even if he didn't come)

You must do a pregnancy test ASAP. Either go to your doctor or buy one from a drugstore or supermarket or go to a planned contraceptive clinic.

Lots of things cause girls your age (and older) to skip periods so it amy not be anything to worry about but it's worth chatting to a doctor in case it could be weight loss or anaemia that's causing it.

If you are still having sex, use a condom. If you're not pregnant you could still get pregnant.

greg290352 agony auntGo to a Family Planning Clinic [the US equivalent] and explain the situation. Alternatively carry out a home pregnancy test. You need to go on the Pill ideally if you are not pregnant. Anxiety can delay your period. If you are pregnant then you need support from family and close friends. Don't delay! Good luck :-)

u should take pregnancy test, to be sure.

There s useless to ask other people

however

Stress, illness, eating disorders and recent weight loss can also lead you to skip a period.

good luck

A female reader, Tisha-1 United States +, writes (10 December 2009):

Tisha-1 agony auntYou have to go get a pregnancy test and follow the instructions. If that is negative, then you need to see your doctor, ask your mom to make an appointment. It may just be teenage fluctuating hormones and you're fine, but we are not doctors and can't diagnose you, okay?

I hope everything works out fine for you. Good luck.

A female reader, Sweety Pie United Kingdom +, writes (10 December 2009):

Sweety Pie agony auntAnytime you have sex theres a risk of pregnancy.

The risk is very low if you use condoms and are on the pill, assuming you used them correctly.

The risk is much higher if you dont use contraception.

Basically the only way your gonna know is by taking a test, so go for it :) If you go to your doctor/local sexual health clinic you can get one for free (and also condoms and other forms of birth control)

Good luck :)
