Hahahaha sooo funny, can you really sue for loss of affection?? I know in Australia you cant.

Maybe its different overseas. Americans sue each other for just about everything else over there (easy money you see lazy shits).

it would be a good idea though. Would stop all the filthy slappers out there (like yourself) from shagging peoples husbands because you cant get your own :-)

A female reader, 2blueyez United States +, writes (21 April 2009):

I only wish! In some states yes. There are several things wrong in this picture.

1. If you know he is married, you should leave him alone. You are held accountable for your own actions.

2. Him being married should be enough to keep him home but that is not the case the majority of the time.

3. I am a victim of a husband with a mistress. He also got her pregnant. I left and they are living together. We have been together a total of 13 years. Dumb me, I thought we were happy.

4. I have thought about everything. Sueing her has crossed my mind, suing him for alimony has crossed my mind, fighting for custody of the kid and suing them both for child support has crossed my mind.

But you know what? I am the innocent one. I have to find peace within myself now.Eventually I will but this is something they will have to live with forever.

eyeswideopen agony auntThanks Uncle Phil, now I can uncover my ears,

Serenity1, perhaps your state does not allow this kind of suit but I know many states do, she needs to find out what goes in her own state. Of course it will only apply if the man files to divorce his wife and the wive can prove he was having an affair with this person and that prior to said affair they were happily married. Until the poster finds out what the law says in her state, she should be afraid...very afraid.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (12 December 2008):

Actually, Serenity, there is a case of a woman who sued her husband's mistress for alienation of affection and won a few million dollars. Lifetime TV channel did a movie about in 1999 called "the Price of a Broken Heart" starring Park Overall as the wife. Its based off a true story that happened in North Carolina. She sued based on a 200 year old law that was still on the books. So, not only is it possible (depending on the laws in your state) there is actually precedent.

To the OP: That said... whether the wife wants to sue you or merely hurt you in some other way is a different story. Although, in all honesty, the wife hurting me would be the least of my worries. My fear would be from him... because when it comes to triangles like these, its the other women who generally ends up feeling the worst when he chooses the wife over her. But, well, we're about the same age... surely you know that already, right?

A female reader, Serenity1 United States +, writes (12 December 2008):

Serenity1 agony auntNO NO AND NO!!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT THESE OTHERS ARE GETTING AT BUT TRYING TO SCARE/WARN/FRIGHTEN YOU.

MY HUSBAND HAS CHEATED ON ME SEVERAL TIMES AND HE IS THE ONE WHO WOULD SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES, IF I DID DECIDE TO SUE.

THE "OTHER WOMAN" IS NOT THE ONE WHO TOOK VOWS.

SO AGAIN NO YOU CAN NOT GET IN ANY TROUBLE WITH THE LAW FOR MESSING WITH A MARRIED MAN.

THAT'S NOT TO SAY SHE (THE WIFE) WON'T HIRE A PRIVATE DETECTIVE AND TRY TO STALK YOU. BUT AS FAR AS YOU GOING TO JAIL OR PAYING FINES FOR HAVING AN AFFAIR "YEAH RIGHT".

IF SO I WOULD BE A MILLIONAIRE...

ON THE OTHER HAND IF YOUR THAT FEARFUL YOU MAY NEED TO LEAVE HIM ALONE...

A reader, anonymous, writes (12 December 2008):

I wouldn't worry about the lawyers myself, I'd be scared of the violence. Women can be very possessive and nipples are the least of the things on your body she could destroy. I hear some women use acid, I'm kind of scared for your pretty face. I think you should dump the guy, his wife is too much trouble...

A female reader, eyeswideopen United States +, writes (12 December 2008):

eyeswideopen agony auntIt depends on which state you live in but most allow a suit against the homewrecker for alienation of affection and it can be very costly, and if you count in the cost for nipple replacement, we are talking big bucks.

deejuliet agony auntHuh? The answer by 'plexi' has me dumbfounded. She cant possbibly be so stupid as to believe that someone can actually cause someone elses nipples to fall off, can she? She has to be making a lame attempt at a joke, right? And no one goes to JAIL because they are the 'other woman'! Pure stupidity and not at all helpful here!

Unfortunately in america yes she can. Americans sue for the stupidest stuff like the woman who sued 7-11 because her coffee didn't say it was hot and she spilled it on her kid and won. Thats just dumb!! So sadly she can sue you for a lot of money.

I don't really know about the Rules in you cuntry but here in India she can Sue you for cheating. She can also sue her husband and demand compensation. It is against the Moral Act of marriage here.. !!

I am sure there would surely be something that she can hurt you and her husband for.. !!
