Stress, systs on your ovaries, weight changes, hormones, diet changes, anything could cause it. Just relax if you don't start soon like within the week go to the doctor. I missed a period for 4 months I went to the dr and they wrote a prescription and I started the next day it was nothing I was just very stressed. No worries you'll be fine

ArmyMedic agony auntIt's not unusual for periods can be all over the place for various reasons. But my advice on anything like this is to see a Doctor, with out knowing a full medical history and checking your pulse, blood pressure etc, there is no way of telling what is going on. So go and get checked out.

Weight loss, stress, lack of sleep, or just chance, sometimes it happens for no reason. Wait and see if you're next one comes on, and if it doesn't, then see a doctor, but I really wouldn't worry just yet.

A female reader, melon United Kingdom +, writes (10 February 2009):

I once got that as well, I had no period for about 2 months, and then had two periods within like 5 days of each other :-S I'm a lesbian too so I didn't freak out about being pregnant! This happened about a year ago (I'm 19) It could be loadsa different things. It's probably nothing (like with me) but it's worth going to the doctor just to put your mind at rest really! Good luck :-) xx

Could be that you are ill, could just be stress, could be any number of things.

If you are more than a week late then go and see your doctor.

Good Luck!! xx
