A female Canada age 30-35, *eartbroken-xx writes:

I met this guy recently. He is sixteen, I am fourteen, turning fifteen in about a week.

We instantley connected on many levels. Since he is moving on April 20th, started talking in Feb. We decided not to take things any further, and just remain friends.. well that didn't happen.

He has a girl, waiting back in his hometown for him, and I have a boy who has recently moved away, but we still have lots of feelings for eachother. Ultimatly we agreed, that while he was still staying here, we could continue to act as if we we're dating, until he left.

We use to hang out lots alone, and he would always continue to text me at least three - four times a day. We would kiss and talk etc, and be very clingly whenever we were with one another. but we never had sex because I knew then it would be to hard for me to say goodbye to him, but I know he wants too, but he told me respects my desicion. (not sure if thats true or not)

Recently, we had two fights in about a week, alot of emotions blew up. Ever since then things have not been the same, we have agreed to forgive one another, and when we are with eachother we still act the same as we always do, but we never really talk anymore, everytime I text him, he usually ignores me, and thinks I am being totally irrational when I try to bring it up.. we use to talk everyday and now we talk every three days

also, now when we are hanging out with a group of people, he is very clingy with other girls, whom he so calls his 'best friends' and I totally understand that, but it makes me very... jealous.

but I want to know, does it sound like

he 'lost the feeling'? and should I let him go..

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (4 April 2009):

It definitely seems like his feelings have started to fade.

But then he is going to move away from you in a couple of weeks so he could be trying to withdraw a bit ahead of time.

If it's not working any more then save yourself 2 weeks of further heartache and end it now.

You are going to get hurt anyway so you have nothing to lose.

Good Luck!! xx
