The answer literally was: "I would prefer it 2-3cm bigger". We are still together because we love each other, but now I think that women hope always to find the right brain coupled with a bigger than average size. If a woman stays with a smaller or around average it is just because she didn't find somthing better. I am an average 6 inch.

OP I've bedded nearly ten times the amount of women that have replied here and can safely say that about 90% of them were satisfied with my size, they were a good fit.
As previously mentioned most women have a variation of the average size vagina. A good lot of them were even too tight, even after a lot of foreplay and full arousal. On the other side of that some were too loose.
You see even a woman with a loose vagina can tighten that with kegels and can use her muscles her grip you while you inside. Something one of my exes had to do after childbirth.
I don't get why a lot of guys are hung up on size most of us are perfectly adequate or even better. Even a 3 inch guy can sexually satisfy a woman through a combination of her doing kegels and him learning to give great head. I have a friend with a micropenis that is happily married with kids. He has all the qualities necessary to make a good partner, can sexually satisfy his wife, and is not insecure about his size. He tells me that when his wife wants to feel "filled up" he uses a dildo while giving head because the only thing he lacks the ability to do is to give her that "filled up" feeling with his penis. That's the only advantage to having a big penis really and most women don't care about having that, or get it just fine from an average sized penis.

If you google true average penis size you will find plenty of info on true averages. A lifestyles condom study of 300 men on spring break did not reveal a single one over 9 inches, and a grand total of .8% (less than 1 in 100) were 8 inches or more. Only about 5% of the population is 7 inches or more.
I've read many posts on the internet by women stating that their boyfriend or an ex had a 10 incher. From all the legitimate studies I've seen, men that size are literally about 1 in a million. Just to find a man 8 inches or larger, a typical woman would have to hook up with over 100 men just to find one that large.
By definition, men who are well above average are extremely rare. The real would isn't the Lake Wobegone of penises.
A woman who prefers 7 inchers will have to hook up with about 20 men on average just to find one that size.
Other than a vanishingly small number of super lucky women, the ones who claim to like huge ones would have to hook up with very large numbers of men to find a truely huge one. If most women really did prefer huge ones, it would mean that a very high percentage of women would never find someone for a long term relationship that they actually liked.
For example, if 80% of women needed a man in the top 1% (8 inches or more) to be satisfied, 79% would spend their lives unsatisfied (unless they were willing to share their man with 79 other women). Of course, even if they were willing to go along with sharing in this manner, they'd only have sex about 4-5 times per year even their "shared man" were hammering a different woman every night.
Studies consistently show that a relatively high percentage of women are satisfied with their sex lives. This would be a statistical impossibility if a high percentage of women require a large (e.g. 1 in 100) man.
Then, of course, there's the question of how attractive that 1 in 100 man will be once a woman actually finds him. If a woman needs to have an attractive man with a 1 in 100 penis, she has effectively ensured she will never be happy. Men like that are quite literally 1 in 1,000. 999 out of 1,000 women would be unhappy. If she wants a man who she is also compatible with in terms of personality, who is average or better intelligence, average or better education and income, etc., she's undoubtedly limited herself to men who are less than 1 in 10,000.
Restated, if a woman needs a huge unit to be satisfied sexually, unless she is unbelievably hot she is either going to spend the rest of her life being unsatisfied, sharing her man with large numbers of other women, or settling for a man who is a complete zero in other areas.
Almost all real woman aren't like this, of course, so don't worry about it.

As for position, all women are different, and if your good at sex, you should be able to do all positions during one sexual session.  Since most women can only reach orgasm with direct clitoral stimulation, and the clitoris is located on the OUTSIDE of the body, penis size has little to nothing to do with sexual enjoyment with women.
So, to answer your question, most men could have no penis at all and still satisfy a woman sexually. Penetration is not the end-all-be-all for ALL women, and large penises can be extremely painful.
Stop worrying about your penis, and focus on the clitoris.

 In my experience, 6-7 inches is average. 8-10 inches is big. 5 and under is small.
I prefer average- 7 inches or so is perfect for me.
I like it all ways- "doggy" style, man on top, me on top, from the side, etc... It all feels different, but it's all equally good. I think the most important thing is to mix it up so that the sex doesn't become boring.
