A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hey guys , so I have a boyfriend well ...

We have the most complicated relationship. We used to have a great relationship but now he seems to act differently, I've asked if he's okay or if I did something wrong to see if I can fix things but he always responds with, "I'm fine," but iknow when he actually is fine and I can tell he's not.

I'm tired of putting So much effort when he doesn't anymore.

I'm just really confused with this relationship. We need better communication. and this leads to another problem, I've gotten kinda close to my "boyfriends" friend.

I know he likes me, he's great to talk to and always makes me smile. It's not right to like him though and I definatly have my heart set on my current boyfriend.

But I find I am developing feelings for his friend, he puts more effort into talking and seeing me then my boyfriend.

I'm super confused! I honestly want my boyfriend more but it's really the relationship we used to have is what I want. Help ! what do I do?

A male reader, Reke United States +, writes (18 October 2012):

Sounds like you've already made a decision and are looking for confirmation.

First of all, you're still young and unmarried. You have so many options, and it's apparent he isn't interested in a relationship with you. Maybe he would be a better friend.

The best friend is an unfortunate twist, but I think it really depends on more factors. If the current bf really isn't interested in dating you, maybe he wouldn't mind if his friend did.

I ended up divorcing my ex and marrying her best friend.

It ruins friendships, so be aware of that. All three of us are happy today, but my current wife and my ex have parted ways.

So with that in mind, do what you think is best. I don't recommend trying to force a relationship that you know is bound to fail, though.
