Heya, I know this may be a silly question but I was wondering what sort of Christmas present do you get a guy? I mean, me and my boyfriend are both 14 yrs old, and we love each other very much (yes I know, its only young love but this is for real) but I'm finding it hard to get him something.

I can't really get him anything like shirts or a tie because like we're only teenagers but I want to buy him something meaningful. He doesn't wear a watch or anything thats jewellery-like. Could anyone help me??

Thanks if you can!!

I've found a lot of good ideas here...these are my favorites, plus a few of my own:

1. '100 reasons why i love you' book. You should definitely make it yourself so that it's customized and you can put lots of little inside jokes in there too. He can read it while you're not around and give himself a confidence boost :)

2. Draw a poster for him on big paper

3. There's an adorable book called 'I Like You' by Sandol Stoddard Warburg that is perfect for all couples. Check it out.

4. Give him one day to go anywhere he likes and do what he wants. Shower him in hugs and kisses all day long and make him feel like a god.

5. It's no secret that all guys love food. Make something delicious like cookies, brownies, or cupcakes and he will love you forever.

6. Make a CD of songs that apply to your relationship

7. Look around a little and you can probably find a remote area with a blank wall and spraypaint "I LOVE YOU _____" or something like that on the wall, like a tribute to your relationship. Illegal but awesome :D I did this and on Christmas I blindfolded him and took him to the graffiti then showed it to him. He kissed me on the spot, and it's been his favorite present in the 3 years we've dated :)

i am having the same problem! im 14 and so is he, weve been going out for about 2 or 3 weeks now and im completely clueless about what to get him! ive read preety much all the comments and ive thought about it and decided that nobody suggested moonpig for a card - they do personalised gifts and flowers too but theyre great for cards, u can get them sent to ur house with a blank envelope if u want to wrtie something too :) i was thinking maybe some headphones if he likes music/has an ipod etc.

find out his fave colour, if he likes to read what sort of books he reads, just finding out little things about him could actually make alllll the difference

hope i helped somebody - its just a shame i cant seem to help myself! haha :P

i am 15 and so is my boyfriend, he never gives me any ideas for birthday and christmas presents so i always have to come up with them on my own.

Since this year the new thing to get is Beats by Dr. Dre, i decided to get them for him they were 160 dollars, not to expensive. He loves music so it will be worth it!

Hope this helps!

Im 13 and my boyfriend is 12. I think he got me something for Christmas, but im not completely sure, and we're both rather shy and such so i would rather not get something for him and find out he didnt get me something and be stuck with something specifically for him

we've only been going out for a little while and i dont know if it will last a very long time

my friend asked him out for me at a football game when me and her didnt have to play(we're in band and our band directer has the band play at the football games)

i was thinking i could just buy a small teddy bear, some skittles and m'n'm s, if i can manage it some dog tags with our names or initials on it and if my sister can manage to get a picture and have it printed out by my schools last day of school before Christmas break a picture of us together

I didn't want to buy him cologne because he might think im saying he stinks. Lol. So i wanted to buy him a teddy bear. All guys love teddy bears! Haha. & i also bought him starbursts, i bought him starbursts because its just an insider we have. But im sure whatever you get him he will love(:

I've posted before but seeing as it's Christmas Eve, I have the final gift ready. :) I bought him a hoody from American Apparel, the Ralph Lauren Big Pony Gift Set, The Inbetweeners Box set with which I included a bottle of appletiser, a packet of Cadburys cookies, skittles, jelly tots, lovehearts, and popcorn. and a note included with the food that said 'some food and stuff to eat while you watch your DVDs, as long as you're watching them with me. 333 And a couple of weeks ago I also ordered him a bracelet, but it hasn't arrived yet although it should've done, so I'll probably print a picture of it and attach it to a love note for him. We've been together nearly 2 years, I'm 18, he's 17. :) I hope it goes over well.

U can never go wrong with food ALL MEN LOVE FOOD! I wouldn't go about buying him cologne (implying he smells bad).

If u have been together a while then ask his parents if they are getting him certain things like an iPod or something.

That's it I guess cuz I'm kinda stuck under thins category too

I'm 20 now, but I don't suppose age really matters.

If you work, you can get him a free ride with a Nascar race dealershp for about 100 dollars, US. This year I'm getting him a teeshirt and I'm making him some relationship coupons on the side:

"One Get-out-of-an-argument for free" coupon and "One free full body massage etc; Things like that.

If you aren't skilled at giving good presents, like me, then you just have to think about the little things. Don't go too far, but find something quirky he might like. Buy him property in island for 50 dollars at buyireland.com or make him something; bake him a cake, cookies, knit him a scarf, design a shirt or something.

OK. so i am 14 almost 15 and i broke up with my boyfriend a week before Christmas. and he was mad at me and all and he's telling people that he spent $300 on me. he got me a gold heart necklace with my name engraved on the back. that is really sweet and all and i do want it very bad. but we aren't together and he wont talk to me and he's not going to give it to me. he told people that he was going to give it to a pawn shop. but the bad thing is, his birthday is a day after we come back from winter break. and i was looking at things to get him. Depending on how old your boyfriend is and what he's into you could totally go for a dog tag necklace that is personalized, cologne is always a good gift for you and him [; if you have anything that is personal between you and him, like my boyfriend was in Tennessee all summer and before he left i made him a tissue paper rose with my perfume on it, things like that are always lovely, you could make a picture collage of the two of you, i saw this really good idea about getting two pillow cases where there is a stick man holding a key and there are hearts drifting to the end of the pillow and then on the other pillow case there is the hearts leading to a girl holding a heart with the cool little locky hole. haha. oh oh ohhh. and if you get him something small, hehe, this is fun, you can get like a fast food bag and put it in there with napkins and stuff in it. haha 3 hope that helps :)

A female reader, anonymous, writes (20 December 2010):

Honestly, I think all guys want is you for Christmas(: Or at least that is what I would like to think.. But if your boyfriend tells you not to get them anything, then obviously you have to get them something! So some ideas might be:

-Teddy bear that says "I love you" (It HAS to say I love you, it's a girl thing)

-Hug and kiss coupons are overrated unless you guys don't kiss and hug often. If it's an everyday thing, then they are pointless!

-No jewlery! No matter how much you think they'll like it, deep down, they don't. They would probly be made fun of!But a regular bracelet might work (If they normally wear tht type of thing)

-If the relationship is under 2-3 weeks, then nothing overboard! It may feel like a special connection, but Valentines Day is only a little while after Christmas, so if things have stayed steady the whole time, then get something extra special. Otherwise, nothing too pricey! Who knows how long it'll last!

-Candy is always a good fall back. Expesially if it's the kind he likes. My boyfriend is 12, 2 years younger than me, and definently not as mature, so candy is somthing that'll work nicely.

-Don't get clothes unless you know their size! Ive tried tht b4 and it turned out to be too big and hideous and I was very much embarassed!

-If he's mature, don't get him something you saw on a commercial with little kids jumpin around and they look to be about 9. It just doesnt work tht way :P

-Also remember, he already likes you! I mean he IS dating you, so you don't have to impress him with something big and expensive! He'll love it, just cuz it came from you! Draw him a picture, make him a card, sing him a song! He'll love it, Im sure(:

My boyfriend is 18, and so am I. We have been dating for over a year.

He actually asked me to make him something for Christmas because no one has ever made him anything before. So, I decided to make him one of those tie fleece blankets. One side will have his favorite color, and the other wil be a pattern of something he likes (like penguins for example).

I am also going to make him a cd of all of the pictures of us set to our song.

Another thing is that I might also just give him a stocking filled with little things like chapstick and dark chocolate (he loves dark chocolate) and little things he likes just for fun.

Hope this helps!

Guys are really hard to shop for especially when they are teenagers. Most guys hint as to what they want for Christmas and others say they don't want anything. It depends on what your boyfriend is into. If he's into sports buy him a jersey to his favorite team.. If he's into fashion buy him an outfit or giftcard if your not sure what he wants.. If he likes video games buy him a game or a giftcard for him to buy a game.. If you aren't sure what to get him at all and nothing I said was listed find something that he has that needs to be replaced for instance, if he has a basketball and its deflated buy him a new one or buy him a pump if the basketball means a lot to him then tell him he can hang that one up for memories and play with the new one good luck..

I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 14 for Christmas I had noo clue what to get him and he said to not get anything, of course being female we always want to get them something. I'm also the kind of person who likes to do things big so after talking to his mom, since he's a freshman I've decided on getting him a fish with this awesome looking fish bowl kind of like a fish apartment, and fish cleaning stuff to go with it, something he can see everyday and take care and it'll remind him of me. And then his favorite candy which are Swedish fish(:

I'm having the same dilemma, too! I'm 14 and my boyfriend is 16. I have SOME ideas as to what to get him, but I need a second opinion! He LOVES playing the guitar, and for his birthday last week, I got a CD of his favorite band & an iTunes giftcard. That could work as a Christmas present too! But I MIGHT plan to get him some of the following:

- His favorite NFL team shirt

- A keychain with his name or my name on it (since he's just starting to drive)

- A new hoodie (because he keeps wearing the same jacket everyday!)

- A blue v-neck ('cause he looks good in blue and what kind girl doesn't like a guy in a vneck?)

- Cologne, of course

hey ladies! i am having the same problem too. my boyfriend is currently 16 and im 15 and we have been dating for over a year. it has taken me so long to figure out what i am going to get him so i hope this helps!

-my boy loves cars and sport so instead of spending heaps of money on brand clothes or tickets i bought him xbox games and because of christmas the prices are low!

-i bought a basic photo frame and painted the border in the colours that we both love! then i put a few memorable items in the corners. its pretty (:

-colone, he loves to smell good

-if he loves to hear your voice, get a teddy with your voice recording, say something that he always loves to hear. deep down every boy loves a teddy!

-christmas isnt really that celebrated in his family but he wants it to be so i got him christmasy things to give him a cute christmas!

-every boy loves sex. get a cute/lacy bra and panties, you know he'll love it ;)

-his favourite chocolate and candy

-and a cute card that has a good memory of the two of you

i really hope this gives you some idea!

Hey I'm 16 and my guy's 17, and we've been together for about 5 months now. I'm absolutely the worst present buyer in the world but here are some ideas I've had in mind for him for Christmas :) since I already bought him a framed picture I took of us for his birthday.

-Picture of you guys, always a good idea!

-A movie that you guys watched when someone was sick or just hanging around together. It's adorable and doesn't scream "I desperately can never leave you"

-A mix CD of any song you've laughed together or meant something. I made one of his birthday/homecoming night.

-My boyfriend's in track so I got him this digital watch he can time himself with. it must be a guy thing!

-He is IN LOVE with his dog, so I got something for her too :)

just some ideas!

omg this has helped me soooooo much!!! i've decided to make a "100 reasons why i love you" book 3 thanks for the ppl who thought of that :D.

ok so i have a complicated relationship. I'm 15 and so is he. we love each other and we kiss and hang out and all that but we're not official becoz neither of us are allowed to be in a relationship :'( so on his b-day i gave him:

- a card full of the most memorable pics of us and wrote heaps of captions in it.

- wrote him a song 3

- i made him a bracelet saying the word he wanted in it when i asked him (http://www.friendship-bracelets.net/tutorial.php?id=2) this is a website to teach u guys how to make 'em

sooo yea. i guess material objects that u buy are cool but i reckon things that u make on your own makes them feel how much you love them. but then again it depends on the type of guy. hope this helped :D

I'm 15. At first, I had no idea what to get my 16 year old boyfriend for Christmas. We've been dating on and off for two years. I asked him and all he said was a shirt from his favorite college basketball team. I thought that was a lame present. So, I looked for sweatshirts from his favorite college basketball team. I ended up ordering one off of amazon.com . it's the best website. you can find practically anything there. I also am getting his favorite candies, sweedish fish and life savers. I am getting a frame and putting a picture of us from homecoming in it to give to him. I also got a little stuffed Theodore from Alvin and the Chipmunks, it's an inside joke. I am in the process of making him a '100 Reasons Why I love You' book. As a present from my mom, my sister, and I, we bought him along with my two cousins, my dad, and my sister's boyfriend all matching remote control helicopters for them to fly around together! After I wrap all of the presents, I have a giant stocking I'm going to put them all in. My mom is giving him a t-shirt from American Eagle. To sum it up for Christmas, in total, my boyfriend is receiving from my family and I:

* Sweatshirt from his favorite college basketball team

* A picture in a frame of us

* His favorite candy

* A little stuffed animal, an inside joke

* '100 Reason Why I Love You' book I am making myself

* A remote control helicopter

* A t-shirt from American Eagle

* A giant stocking to put all of his presents in!

hope this helped!!

I like how people are saying '15 and lower are too young to love' but then you look at someone like my mother who can't keep a guy for more then 5 months. I'm just saying. And she's been married multiple times. Then you look at someone like my grandmother and her husband who've known each other since they were 12 and are still married. Yah. People are so conservative.

ANYWAYS, I'm 15, my boyfriend is also 15 and we've been dating since October 23rd. :) We talked a lot before and he's dated a lot of sluttier girls that he regrets, haha.

I feel like I'm the classiest girl he's dated. Sadly, I know what he's getting me, but he doesn't know that. My friend told me. Grr. Oh well, it's beautiful and really expensive. :)

He plays guitar. His DREAM is to be a famous guitarist. ;)

So, I was thinking of getting him a stone pick ($40) and taking it to get 'All My Loving' or 'I'll always be true' on it, because our song is 'All my loving' by the Beatles. :)

Other good ideas are

A stocking of things he'd like

Dinner and movie

Sledding or skiing

I don't know how you'd go about giving him cologne, it would probably imply that he smells bad. Haha.

Something you made.

Something with inside jokes. Like, he always makes fun of me because I'm really blonde, so like, a hoodie that says 'Blondes have more fun' or something. ;)

I was so worried too..but now i have some stuff I know he'd love. and btw if your botfriend really loves you he'll know what you get him was from the heart and he'll think it's special no matter what it is. So he'll be 20 soon and he's really into video games but him and his cousin have literally every video game they could ever want so that was out of the question. and this is what I came up with.

-Those 2 Ace ventura movies. We always go "SHIKAKA!!" haha we stayed up late one night quoting scenes and laughing our asses off. (But you could do this with any one of his favorite movies)

-A hat or two. He loves hats, he wears them all the time. He puts them on one he thinks his hair looks messy too. Haha it's so funny when he does that.

-He loves belts, he has this one crazy belt that I used to never be able to figure out but one day I did and now he says he wants another one thats not so old.

-I've baked for his family on thanksgiving and they loved what I made. So I was thinkin while I go over there for christmas I would bring them all specil homemade christmas cookies. When he sees that I care about his familys christmas too and not just his he'll be so happy to see that :)

-Of course everybodys gonna say "a picture of us" but I think thats a little touche. Every night I webcam with my boyfriend on skype and he loves that I showed him that. That would mean so much more I think.

-Me and him are so close and embarrising presents are neverrr embarrising. Hell yeah I'll get him a teddy bear. He's always off at his college except for some weekends and breaks so I think that if he had a big ol' teddy bear that had my perfume on it, he'd love it. He makes jokes that he pretends that his pillow is me lol so it'd mean a lot and he'd think its funny if i brought that up.

-He's so romantic and into things that really mean something. And so here's something that I REALLY wanna do. You know those bracelets little girls make with words in them. Well I wanna do that for him so bad, but like a bunch of em so he has things to remind him of me while he's at college. Their gonna say stuff like, "I love you, 'his name' " - "Thinking of you" - "Distance makes the heart grow fonder" (He always says that when I get sad that he's away) "Soul Mates" - "My knight in shining armor" (He always says he's my knight and im his princess, its just our thing) Oh and also lyrics off of "our song" its by Jason Mraz, its called lucky. So on like one its gonna say, "lucky im in love with my-" "best friend lucky to have been" "Where I have been Lucky to" "be comin home again" "I put a flower in your hair" Haha I could go on and on. But he'd love it!! He'd think it's so thoughtful :))))

-Then I thought of all these really cute love songs that relate to us that I can burn onto a CD and on the CD label I can write 'i love you' 'marry christmas babe' and draw a bunch of hearts and stuff :))

-I was reading this and the idea to give him 2 dog tags with your names and a little love note on it was such a great idea. He wanted to go into the army but he doesn't want to leave me for months at a time like that and Im going to be supportive no matter which path he chooses :) But the dog tags..Awesome. I could see his face now. That HUGE handsome smile :D ahh!!

-His favorite movie if he doesn't already have it.

-This is my favorite. Well as we know all boys love sex, and on holidays we tend to do so much longer and more passionate.Sooo what im gonna do is buy a really cute bra and panties set and when he sees it, he's gonna love it. I also know that there's those places where you can customize it and make it say stuff too, but still nothings better then lace and bows ;)

-That whole day just shower him with love and kisses. Look at him like he's the most wonderful thing you've ever seen. It'll let him know how you feel 3

-He has this little sister and me and her got really close so I'll probably get her a little something too. He's so potective over her and I think that if he saw me do that he would just light up.

Well thats everything I thought up :D I hope this helps somebody.

I'm 16 and my boyfriend is 19. My boyfriend and I have been dating for a few months and he just left for Colorado. He's a phanomonal snowboarder and stays in colorado for the winter. He won the Gatorade Flow Tour last year and goes to Europe this spring for another tour. I am very supportive and fly out there all the time but it's still hard not being able to see him. For a going away present i gave him a double picture frame of us on the right side was a picture of us and on the left side was a handwritten letter. I also customized the outside of the white frame. For Christmas I am planning on getting him an ipod shuffle or the new nano because he always listens to music while snowboarding. He's a big baby and always complains about how big his i-touch is. So i thought that would be perfect. I am also going to get him a customized leather bracelet. He is sponsored by O'neil, Dakine, Smith, Burton, and Gatorade (and a few other) so he gets clothes and snowboards and everything free. So those things weren't really an option.

I hope this may help!

I'm 13 and I've been trying to figure out what to get my 13 yr old boyfriend for Christmas too! I read all the comments and things on this site and I finally decided for Christmas to make a box for him with a picture of us in a special frame, an album from his favorite band, lyrics to our special song we have, some cologne (Axe or something from bath and body works), and a kiss(the ones on the lips and the chocolate kind haha). Then I'm going to remind him that I didn't really need anything this Christmas, and that all I needed was to be with him3

I hope these gift ideas help anyone!

If you didn't read all the way through here they are again.

1.Picture of us together

2.Album from his favorite band

3.Lyrics to the song we call our song

4.Cologne

5.Kisses (chocolate or non)

Hope it helps(:

I've been checking this site for a couple of weeks too because I am completely clueless when it comes to giving guys gifts, but the main thing you want to do is find things he likes first. My boyfriend doesn't like sports like some of the girls' boyfriends here, but he does like harry potter and he plays guitar. You need to do that first before you do anything. So for my boyfriend, I'm getting a him a customized guitar pick and some harry potter movies. Plus, I think I'm gonna bake him something because what guy doesn't like his girl to make him food? I'm also getting him cologne and candy. Then, I'm putting them in a basket :) So what you really want to do is find out what he likes and go from there. If he doesn't like it or appreciate it then you really shouldn't be dating him in the first place because it's really the thought that counts. ^.^

For our 6 months: A picture frame that I made with our favorite picture in it, because my mothers a crazy scrap booking lady so I have all the supplies to make one.

For his birthday: A Tennessee Vols (favorite football team) T-shirt, long sleeve and hoodie. Also I'm taking him out to eat.. well he'll drive haha but I'm paying.

For Christmas: This one took me the longest to figure out. But we both decide on going para-sailing. It's on both of our "before I die" to do lists, and we live in Florida, so we figured what the heck. Even though it's ridiculously priced.

Hope that helped :)

A female reader, anonymous, writes (24 November 2010):

I already posted what I got him last year and for his birthday:

I'm 18 and have been with my 17 year old boyfriend for 18 months. Last year I got him a watch, a superman hoodie, and a framed photo of us. For his birthday, I bought him a can of his favourite soda Mountain Dew, a pair of Fred Perry trainers, and a wallet.

I also included a more romantic gift: I bought a silver chain and put an old key on it. I wrote a note on red paper about how it was the key to my heart and all about how much I loved him and trusted him, and rolled it up into a scroll. I got a small mirror and stuck gold star stickers to it, and wrote another letter saying that when he looks into the mirror he'll see my most favourite person in the world and the one I want to spend the rest of my life with etc. I rolled this up into a scroll too, along with a few coupons for kisses etc. I got a heart-shaped whole punch and made absolutely tonnes of red and pink heart confetti. I also got a small teddy bear. I put it all inside a cellophane bag, and tied it with a red bow. It looked really professional. :) I handed him the small gifts and the corresponding notes, and by the end, he cried. I also wrote a poem in his card. :) I put this along with his other gifts in the shoe box; he pronounced me the perfect gift giver., and still reads those letters every now and then. :)

But I've now decided what I'm getting him this year. :) I'm going to get him a hoodie from American Apparel he really wants, the ralph lauren big pony fragrance gift set, a box set of his favourite DVDS, and a celtic love knot bracelet than symbolises eternity. :) It'll come to £118.99 but it isn't the price that counts. :) I really want to get him protein shakes from youshake, com but I don't think I'll be able to afford that this time. I'll also write a long letter expressing my feelings, and maybe I'll make a canvas of pictures from a concert we recently went to, a 52 reasons card book, or perhaps a homemade sex position book. ;) I also want to make him a stuffed ninja. :)

2.) A mini Skateboard (His favorite thing is to skate board)

My boyfriend is 17, and I'm 15. Our three month anniversary will be boxing day, but it feels like longer (in a good way of course).

Today we were talking and he suggested that he already knew/had bought what he was going to get me for Christmas. I started stressing out, but I've pretty much figured it out already. It's not that hard if you know what he's interested in!

I'm getting him:

- Really nice soap (because he has OCD about washing his hands)

- Chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cupcakes (because he loves my baking - especially the cookies)

- A t-shirt with a slogan from his favourite Youtuber (apart from the fact it's his favourite, it's also a large part of why we started talking and what made us connect in the first place)

- Picture of us with all the things that I love about him written on the back :)

I really hope this helps anyone who's stuck. I think a combination of small gifts is best because if he doesn't like one thing, there are always others. Also, you can't go wrong with good home-baking. Guys love it. It shows that you're feminine and talented.

If you're 14 or under, I suggest baking something or getting him something really small but meaningful that shows you know him (like the hand soap).

Think about his hobbies and try to scope out what he has and hasn't got before Christmas so you know what you can get him!

Maybe instead of getting him something, you could take him somewhere where the both of you would have a lot of fun, or somewhere that would be romantic for the both of you to enjoy with each other.

Depending on your budget there are plenty of things you can get him. If you have larger budget you could get him some sort of video game. You could also try making him something like a photo album or scrap book. One year I got my boyfriend a silver flash drive with his initials engraved. He absolutely loved it and I think it was only 30 bucks from things remembered. Brookstone also has some nifty gadgets on sale during the holidays.

Hope this helps, good luck!

I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 19. We have been dating for over 2 years. He is verrry hard to buy for... he doesn't really have any hobbies so I cant buy him things like that. He does like fish though, so I bought him a really nice Fluval Edge fish tank and a bunch of black and white decorations to go with it. It looked really sharp and classy. He got me an amazing 12 megapixel digital camera. Over all it was a pretty expensive christmas; we both spent about $350 on each other. This year im not sure what to get him.... I guess I will have to think very hard!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (4 November 2010):

:) I put this along with his other gifts in the shoe box; he pronounced me the perfect gift giver., and still reads those letters after now and then. :)

This year, I'm not exactly sure what I'm getting him. He's pointed out a hoodie and some shoes he likes so maybe those. Or some of his favourite DVDs, cologne or something. As for the romance, well I'll have to think of something good to top his birthday!

But honestly, girls, he'll like whatever you get him. :)

I had the same problem. I found lots of small presents was a good idea. Last christmas I got mine an x box game, a personalised box of chocolates off thorton's website and a cheesy, fake newspaper article that said he was the hottest guy in Britain. HE ABSOLUTLY LOVED IT!

Often small things are enough. If you've been together for a long time and want something more then try a big box of everything he loves: chocs, cd, game and a scrapbook of your time together. Goes down a treat : )

Also off topic: for birthdays throwing a surprise party for him is a cheap and sweet idea.

He is my first boyfriend, so im not sure what people usually do for this type of thing. He is kind of judgemental so im afraid ill get him something he will think is cheesy or something... idk. i really really dont know what to do... :/ please help

I'm 14. My boyfriends 14. I got my him a build-a-bear. Its a cute little rabbit, but heres the twist- it roars. Build-a-bear has these sound boxes that you can put into your animal to make it meow, bark, quack, hoot, etc. It's an inexpensive, thoughtful way to show him you care, and everytime he hears that bunny roar, or cat bark, or unicorn meow, he'll laugh, thinking of you.

It depends what kind of budget you're on but always look for the best sales, that's what I did and I spent around 450 for everything total! That's pretty decent! If you've been dating less than a year, I would suggest to keep it simple. :)

Im also getting him milano cookies, reeses(all his fav) and the only picture of the two of us(were not too fond of taking pics so its rather special 'cause its the only one of us). All this I'm throwing together along with a homemade card for

under $30

Hey girl! I was gonna offer out some advice! when i was 15 me and my boyfriend had only been dating for a couple of months and i had the same kinds of problems. When your young the both of yall probably dont have too much money to spend.. so something small and cute is great! A box of cookies home made with a cute card would work great, after all what guy wouldn't love cookies! something you made is awesome maybe with a movie or favorite band tee shirt! It you made it it shows that you care and were really thinking of them ..and they wont dare say they dont like something you took the time to make ;) Even if its just making a card thats always a great idea. I made my boyfriend a necklace with this key i always wore around my neck and gave it to him with some pajama pants. Also a cute touch is a box of hot tamale candies with a note saying something like just beacuse your hot.. or something lame. it will make you both laugh and but a great candy snack as well! Also you could do a movie date bucket. Take a basket, or bucket and fill it with a movie, poster, popcorn and fav candy and make it cute! decorate the bucket with pics of the two of you and a cute quote!! Then make the card a fake movie ticket to a night watching a movie with you!!

Hope these suggestions help!! let me know!

i remember being your age and having NO idea what to get my boyfriend. well i'm 23 now and still am not too sure. been together for a year and a half so i've done a couple birthdays and this will be the second xmas. ALWAYS safe to go with something hobby related: drum sticks, guitar picks, band tees, books (my bf is 31 so that's not a "nerdy" present.) a magazine subscription is always a different kind of gift and they usually aren't too much. NEVER get him a teddy bear, necklace, bracelet, or anything with a heart on it. you might think it's a super present but it's not. unless he wears jewelry already try to avoid it. as for the money thing unless you're dating someone shallow (in which case dump them) they won't care how much money you spent/will understand that money is tight.

if all else fails go for a giftcard and food. guys love food.

but along with those, i made him a cd with all of his favorite songs, and wrote him a list of the one hundred reasons i think he's perfect. i put the list in the cd case, and put the cd in the sweatshirt pocket so he can find it later =p. i just wanted to show him i loved him and how well i knew him without feeling like i'm on the set of the notebook.

my boyfriend is fifteen as well and we have been dating four months by Christmas. His mom doesnt seem to like me much so i cant give him something too extraordinary. Money is a problem as well. Im not sure if he is getting me anything but i would still like to get him something. i dont feel comfortable giving him a shirt, jacket, boxers, cologne, or stuff like that because i dont want him to think that i dont like the way he dresses or smells; even though im probably worrying about it too much and he would love any gift coming from me33. I have taken some of the great ideas given and am possible going to decorate a box and put 365 reason why i love him in it(one for each day),decorate a frame and put a picture of us in it(tuck one behind of us kissing;so his mom doesn't see),and some Hershey's KISSES?

i hope this helps:))?

But anywhizzle.. he's just so funny and random, and he says he already has my gifts picked out. (because im not as misterious as he is! lol anyway) He likes video games, hes a senior (obviously) and he's on the wrestling team.

I dunno i was going to go on a website and upload a picture of us onto it (it's one of the features they have) and then i guess that's it i dunno

Well, ive been with my boyfriend for almost a year.

Anx what I found out, the ultimate perfect gift is:

Surprise him with the most wonderful sex, like be so into him that he'll just die.

And after your done, go out to eat with him. And when you guys get back, give him a wonderful wrapped gift of an album with pictures of you guys and just the fun moments you had.

It's the best gifts.

It's what im getting for him.3

And if your worried he wont like it, don't be.

It'll show him how much you care about him and it will, trust me, top any gift out there.

What I came up with was this. Baked goods. You know, cookies, brownies, a cake, etc. Its great! It shows that you would put the time into making him something he loves. It also dosent cost a lot so in these tough times where money is slim or your not working.

This year, I'm thinking about buying my boyfriend some teal hoops to put in his ears. I work at Spencer's, so I can get them cheap and hold them back so that no one else can get them. I'm kind of stuck on wht else to get him. I'll prolly just walk around the mall a bit and find something he might like. T-shirts, books, boxers, jeans, jewlery and anything he doesn't have that's his "favorite" are all goinf to be nice gifts. If you get him cds or dvds, I'd consider making him a basket full of them and make them christmasie by adding candy canes!! =D

But just in case he gets me something more I would like to get him something else. We are both sci-fi and star wars junkies. We are both the kind of popular-nerds. + Shirt to do with a fav band/ artist

+ A flower pot of candy 'flowers' Candy on a stick:P I know it's not too manley, but hey... ideas

+ A book(s) that go along with one or more of his passions, ikes, dreams, interests.

+If he's a musicienne, a book of his fqavs band's songs that he can cover :P

+ Techy, make him a video for a romantic song you both love, inculde pics, lyrics, anything u see fit and put it on youtube, or facebook, myspace... whatever... Just make sure only he can see it at first to be sure not to embarasse him.

+A website! Dedicated to him! Piczo.com is really easy to use.

has Ideas for gifts based on his zodiac sign. (I posted the libra one, but you can change it from the site...)

+bake him something sweet.

You should just go with what you know your guy likes, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you get as long as you love each other. It really is the thought that counts. Get something personal -- even if it's silly. I'm also considering getting him a few cans of his favourite drink (it's very hard to come across Mountain Dew in the UK). Just think positive. hey all!

i'm 23 and my bf is 23 we've been dating for almost 2 yrs. i just ordered him the entourage box set seasons 1-5 because he loves entourage! i figured its something we can snuggle and watch together or he can watch alone (we're long distance...i'm in grad school and he's working full time in NY).

i'm also making him a pillow. i always get something practical and something sentimental. i made a picture frame for him one yr and gave him a teddy bear my dad got me when i was younger. he keep the bear on his nightstand. he even put on of those basketball sweatbands on the bear's head so he looks like he's abt to shoot hoops (sooo cute and sweet)

the entourage box set was pretty expensive but totally worth it if it will make him smile and we can enjoy it together which i know he will love. guys like to spend time with us so anything that incorporates that is always good.

also..guys love food. my bf is always dropping hints abt me cooking. i think i'll do that for v'day.

hope this helps. good luck and merry christmas!

My Boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months, and for Christmas im getting him 3 stuffed dogs and going to buy dog collars with tags on them, because when were older we want 3 dogs and im going to put the names on them that we want. im also making him a box (cigar box) and putting a picture on top of were we first met, and glue paper and sayings, and why i love you stuff on in In it a coupon for a nice dinner date and a cigar for his 18th birthday which is only a few days after christmas and money for his tattoo.

And in a previous relationship i gave my (now ex)bf a gag gift and gave him the twilight book, which he never read. And a belt buckle of a mustang logo (the car) since we both loved it. and he really really loved the belt buckle. And a stuffed turtle (his favortie animal)

Hey. I'm almost 18 and my boyfriend is now 19. I have been dating this guy for almost two years. (a year and a half of christmas day!) Last Christmas i got him a blanket that I made, A DVD of Jackass, a CD, a Shirt and little things like his favorite candies. And it didn't even cost that much. Anyways, just make sure whatever you get him is from the heart, he is sure to love it then! :)

This year, I'm getting him some cologne that he loves, a video game, probably a bracelet to match his chain I got him. So just make sure to get him something special that comes from your heart. I hope this helps!

Oh, for the older couples, getting a gag gift from spenser's, or even a real gift (tehe) is a great idea! I'm going to do that to! :) Hope this helps!

My bf loves sports, comfy clothes, ice cream, banana pie, screamo music and the list could go on forever. He's all hunky and husky on the exterior but for all the women that have said it - guys have a sentimental side too.

For his birthday, I got him a hoodie sweatshirt by billabong - his favorite brand of clothes. And, I baked him a home made pie in his favorite kind, banana cream.

He was absolutely beaming with happiness. :) Guys like the sweet things, that they can also talk about when someone asks what they got without being embarassed. Think sweet, practical, personal, and 'bragable'. Price wise, don't let it phase you - remember, it doesnt matter. Cuz all they rlly want is u. :)

A female reader, anonymous, writes (26 November 2009):

Hi girls! I came across this link and I felt the need to share some of my experience with you and help anyone that I can help because we all know we have scratched our heads once or twice wondering what to get that special guy in our lives. I have had a couple LONG term relationships in my time (I'm in my late 20s), one beginning at age 15 that lasted 5 years so needless to say I've had to think of some creative gift giving ideas so I didn't repeat myself! Here is the best advice I can give and I hope it helps...

Some key things to think about when deciding what to get.

MOST guys have a sensitive side (usually one that only us girls get to know!) as well as that tough exterior they show to others and especially around their 'boys' Keep that in mind, going the sentimental route is okay, but if you only get him a picture frame or a cute video of you two, is he really going to want to share that with his friends? Not so much, try multi-part gifts.

If you want to give him something cute and personal, give him something else he will love, that way, he can brag to his friends about the cool gift you gave him, but secretly sleep with the pillow you made him at night when he is alone....

Second....the way to a guys heart is through his stomach. Yes, even the healthy eaters enjoy forms of healthy treats. Keep this in mind, baking his favorite cookies/dessert, or getting him a bulk box of his favorite protein bars is always a good addition to a present.

Most guys have a hobby of some sort. Video games? Sports? Music? Movies? There are so many angles to take here. Let's say you have a gamer on your hands, and maybe you don't have the money to buy the latest games or ps3....or he already has it. Might I remind you that, most guys still appreciate the classics...see if you can find an old atari set (usually under 30 bucks and come with games) or nintendo NES....those are pretty cheap and CLASSIC, so simple they are fun.

Concert tickets? check out online when his favorite band is coming, even in the summer and buy him 2 if you can afford it. Tell him he can take his friend or anyone, it will make you score points for being the cool girlfriend, but most likely, he will take you anyways :-)

Some futher advice. Most guys love clothes...but honestly, if you really want to set yourself apart from all other girlfriends, steer clear of Hollister, Abercrombie and A&E clothes. Let's think about this, that's stuff his mom can get him, or anyone, and even though he may like it and wear it a lot, you want your gift to reflect that you put thought into it and how much you care. getting clothes is good and practical...but down the road, how many guys end up saying "Man my girlfriend got me this awesome shirt, I love wearing it"....Instead, you're more likely to hear "Man, check out this awesome ____ my girlfriend got me that my friends and I use all the time"....or "That concert was amazing, I will never forget it!"

The point is....even when everything is said and done, do you want to get him a gift he will like? or LOVE. Yes, maybe *gasp* the relationship will not last forever and for a split second you might regret the extra bucks you dropped on your then boyfriend, or the extra effort you put into his gift...however...if you made it a gift he will love, no matter what went down in the relationship, you walk away being that girlfriend with something extra, and you've set yourself apart. That is something to never regret!

I hope this advice helps! I tried to say things to help get your creative juices flowing, as opposed to just typing a list of suggestions. The gift should come from you! Not some random list online...I'm sure he will love what you've come up with. :-)

Alright guys. First of all, guys are the EASIEST to shop for. so don't post answers saying 'cause guys are the hardest to shop for!!" they really aren't. girls are ,because we're so picky. With guys, all they really want is you. (they don't just say this to be nice). They aren't picky at all.

It's my first christmas with my boyfriend, let alone, ANY boyfriend. i've never been in a relationship over any holiday, even my birthday!!! and this one has really taught me that guys aren't picky.

If he's sporty, get him a poster or something simple of his favorite team! nothing real expensive.

If he's into snowboarding, get him a hat! or gloves or something.

me, myself, I'm fourteen and my boyfriend is sixteen and we have been dating for almost two months.

So i don't know that much about him. I only really know that he has a favorite band. He's like in love with them. So i'm getting a wallet with a picture of one of the band guys on the front.

then his favorite candy, (i wrote "i love you" in sharpie all over the candy;)] and a poem from me about him. I'm also baking cookies!!!!!

I'm phsyced!!!! i hope he likes it.

girls, don't be too expensive. He really only wants you.

Hope this helped!

good luck! merry christmas!

I am fifteen and my boyfriend is turning sixteen on the 26th of January. We have been dating for two years and I'm not sure what to get him this year...

I've bought us matching rings which he loved, a necklace, and a stuffed dolphin (his favortie animal.)

But you see, everything I give him has to be subtle because his mom hates me and doesn't know we are dating.

So things like pictures of us out of the question.

Any suggestions for this year?

to be honest guys really dont like the sentimental gifts like scrap books and flowers, they would rather have something more man (boy) like, games, sports, or intimate, think about it, guys arent going to have your scrap book laying around his bedroom, they would rather have a single pic of you in ur boyshorts , spice it up try doing a sexy photo shoot and make a calender of you, dress up on the holidays have fun!

I have been thinking of doing a photo album of us and making some cookies with him on Christmas. Do you think that is a good idea?

First off don't be ashamed that you're young and in love. Most people don't get that no matter what age love is as sincere and true as it gets. Secondly a gift for him should be something that will make him smile and know that you mean it. Try making him something that relates to his interests and then pairing it with something for the two of you to enjoy. Like maybe a nice dinner out or a picnic for the two of you. :)

Good luck and have a merry chrismas!

hi i am 16 years old and my boyfriend is 17 we have been together for two years on january 1st... me and him are extremely close and last year i bought him a pair of shoes and i also made him a scrap book of all of the things that we had done together the year before. he absolutely loved both things. he got me two of the twilight books and a new journal, this was very special to me and i loved it. so if i were you id simply make a scrap book or the ideas of the picture frames for newer couples are great too... or maybe a sweatshirt or a pair of shoes. something you just know he will love.

Ok I am 14 and my boyfriend is 16, yea I know we are young, but we really care about each other alot. Neways don't stress over getting him the perfect gift I had the same trouble last year here is what I did:

1-bought his favorite movie, Wall E, he absoulutely loved that movie once we went and saw it

2-i bought stuffed plushies of Eve and Wall E

3-baked him cookies

then i just wrapped them up, he absolutely loved it he knew it was thoughtful because its something that he really liked. his parents and sister liked it too they thought it was cute.

or you could go to like a pottery shop it your more of the artsy type paint him something but dont just get him anything put some thought into it like an inside joke or somthing and if it doesn't come to your head at first its ok you will get him exactly wat he wants anything from you will make him smile

ps dont listen to the ppl who say your too young me and my boyfriend are young and we have been going out for almost a 1yr and a half trust me if your meant to be it will happen just dont let those ppl get to you.

hope this helped!!!

2. 10-13 year olds - good luck.

NOW to buisness, i am 17 i have been dating someone for 3 years. The best gifts she has given me are:

1. a hoodie (i wear it all the time)

2. planning a movie night

3. a blanket she made (just enough room for both of us O:)

4. this one book O: we both like reading

5. a little zebra cellphone charm (inside joke) ((still on my phone today! :D))

other stuff i cant think of...

I think the goldfish idea is amazing XD really don't sweat it ladies' :D just spend a day with him. Its the best thing ever. Start the day with baking christmas cookies TOGETHER (;D) and watching cute frosty the snowman christmas movies then I suggest a christmas-y horror movie when it gets later..... go ahead and pretend to be afraid..... good excuse to get closer. :]

make the gifts have meaning! if you have been dating for months-years you should be able to think of something! if it has no meaning it will be useless.

good luck this upcoming christmas!

I'm actually going to buy my boyfriend a star for christmas (: i'm not going to be with him (i'll be in scotland visiting family) so i've got a box with letters, cards, a photo albumn and scrapbook, his favourite chocolate and lollies, and other stuff for him. He's pretty much obsessed with skittles so there's heaps of those! :P

I'm also in the process of planning our own christmas but it'll be before i go away (: just a day we can spend relaxing and just being with each other (:

Anyway ladies, -bake him something sweet

-things you've made for him (scrapbook photos and things related to you as a couple)

-lollies/candy

-clothes

-burn CDs of his favourite band/s or one with 'your songs'

-give him tokens or vouchers for things

-tell him you love him!

-buy him his favourite aftershave

-buy him itunes cards

-make his christmas card! (it saves you money if you don't have a job)

-cook him his favourite meal and have a candelit dinner

-take him to the movies

-plan a movie day/night with his favourite movies

And if you're tight on money, make him something! He's bound to love anything you give him, no matter how simple or complicated! Oh, and don't forget to tell him you love him and give him a kiss!

Hope this helps ladies! (:

guys may be picky but they appercite anything that some from the heart so dont worry.

*TIP*- if you are going to get a guy clothes, put a little "hint" [or spray in other words] of your perfume so he smell his shirt & think of you.

anything cute like that. dont feel pressuer to go over the top. things that come from the heart are the best 3

I'm 14, and yes i love my boyfriend, who is 16, but i realize that it could end at anytime, and I don't obsess or make him my 'everything.' With that being said, don't spend too much money on him. Color him a picture or something, and give him his favorite candy. Anything cute, that is special to both of you. If he is a good guy, he won't care what you get him, just because it's from you he will love it.

Its not something that anyone would think to ask for, but it shows you care. Since I highly doubt your boyfriend bought a car, I would go a little simpler. Make him a card. Guys love food, a lot of people suggested baking him cookies, thats a great idea. But honestly, it doesn't matter what you give him or how much it costs. If it means something to the both of you, he'll love it.
