Heya, I know this may be a silly question but I was wondering what sort of Christmas present do you get a guy? I mean, me and my boyfriend are both 14 yrs old, and we love each other very much (yes I know, its only young love but this is for real) but I'm finding it hard to get him something.

I can't really get him anything like shirts or a tie because like we're only teenagers but I want to buy him something meaningful. He doesn't wear a watch or anything thats jewellery-like. Could anyone help me??

Thanks if you can!!

Hey girls,

I'm 18 and my boyfriend is almost 18. I was stuck in the same situation about what to get my boyfriend. We have been off and on for 4 years but surprisingly this is our first Christmas together! so i want it to be special. Although I can't afford much, I think I'm helping him buy a car stereo. It's something he really needs.

I've done the scrapbook stuff and they all really like that so that's a great idea!

Hope that helps cuz it's hard to find that perfect gift!

well.

this is so confusing, i am 14, and i have been dating the most incredible guy for about 4 months. and he just came over my house, and got my a swarovski glass turtle (because i love turtles) and a cute note, and this adorable polar bear he stuffed himself at build a bear,

now, i got him a journal for him to write in and show me (since he always want to read my diary) and a necklace with a sign for good luck that i got at this really cool flea market. but i started painting him a painting, but at the same time i don't know if it is good enough for him.

i know im young, but age doesnt matter...

We've already exchange presents and he got me a picture frame of me and him and some of our friends and a box of chocolate (which i thought i wasnt going to like cuzz i dont like nuts but i decided to tried them for him and i love them so much). Anyway i got him a cd with songs that remind me of him. He loved it. Be creative and let them know how you feel in your gift. He'll loved it no matter what.

Hi! Well, I have been with my boyfriend for two and a half years, and he's 18 and I'm 17. Our first Christmas together, I made him a quilt with all kinds of his favorite stuff on it. That does take some time, so be prepared. For our one year anniversary, I took a huge picture frame, and made a collage of all our pictures together, then for our two year anniversary I made him a scrapbook of all our memories together. This Christmas I'm not completely sure what all I'm doing for him but I suggest doing something sentimental for him and then get him some smaller gifts, like memorabilia for his favorite sports team, cologne, clothes, games, or gift cards.

When I was in high school I had a boyfriend that I was so in love with. I made him a scrapbook that made him cry. He was on the basketball team and I was a cheerleader, so I was pretty close with all his friends. He was about to go to college, so I wanted to get him something he would always remember.I got 5 of his teammates to write a paragraph about how great of a friend and person he is and put it in the scrapbook. I took pictures of them and put it next to their paragraphs. I took a picture of him and me and added to the last page. I wrote him a page of why I love him so much. Three years later he still talks about it and tells me it was the most thoughtful present he has ever gotten.

My problem exactly.

I know what you mean when it's hard to find something.

My boyfriend and is 14 almost 15 and I'm 13. I need to get him a Christmas present and a birthday present, since they are close to each other.

I would get him something that he likes. Maybe something related to sports? A sports jersey of his favorite team? Something rare but not too expensive.

Or music. What music is he into. Have one of his friends find out what he likes but what he also doesn't have. A CD would be great.

I'm fourteen years old and I've been going out with this boy max for about a year and a half now. I really adore him and he's SO cute. I was totally stressing over what to get him for christmas, thinking of the past christmas we shared, and I just decided to get him his favorite sports team jersey, the Eagles.

I always go crazy over christmas and the perfect gifts, and we all know "its the thought that counts" is a bunch of shit because everyone wants a good gift. But really the gift should be something you can both connect to, and just remember. He's a GUY. Even though you go crazy over it, by January, he won't even remember what you got him.

Love,

Sara

Me and my boyfriend are 13. We only started going out a couple months ago and we're more like best best friends. I had no idea what to get him. He's a die hard fan for his college team right? Yah so i just got him a really cute ball cap for the team. Its not really the gift that counts though its the thought. Im going to write him a really nice note to go with it. I know a lot of my friends are getting their bfs sports related items. Is he a jokester try something to bring out his sense of humor... say pretty pretty princess? Along with a promise to play it with him and have a movie night or something. Anyway the best gifts are the simple one picked with care.

Im 18 and my guy is 22. For his birthday I bought a picture box ( you know one of the ones you can buy at walmart for like 4 bucks to store photos) and inside i made 101 cards and each one had a different reason why I loved him. Like I love his freckles or how cute he is when he just wakes up. He absolutley loved it. For christmas I bought him a ring with both our names on it :)

hey

I found this site about 2 weeks ago and i've been checking on it everyday since.

i'm only 13 and i have a bf of 9months

I knowww most of u think u really shouldnt spend a lot of money since you'll have a lot of other bf's in the future but i mean, this is the present and i really dont think i shouldnt express how i feel towards him only cuz im young.

first thought u should put into this present is to make it special. make it only between u two y'know? i mean all of u who are thinking of getting his fav. dvd or cd.. etc. thats cool but u should also make something that only is special to you 2. sort of like an inside joke with your friends. only u guys know it.

i dont know if that makes sense to all of you, but i dont really know how else to say it=]

im doing a couple things for his present.

1. im making a picture frame out of cardboard with little sayings around it that we've said to each other over the past expiriences we've had 2gether, then a picture of us at the dance last friday slowdancing=]

2. i make a 'christmas box.' i basically just decorated a show box with a ton of different things and decorated the inside also, but instead of a christmas theme, i put different things he likes. like his fav. colors, sport, music, etc. then put i love you in sticky letter things=]

3. i have a tinyy bag to put into the box with a note in it, some candy canes, and a 'coupon book'

4. i saw this awwsome dancing christmas pig that sings a song and its only 10$$ but he loves things that are funny like that=]

im thinkin of a couple other things but im not sure yet=]

ahh i gotta get off so ill post another l8r! hope this helps u=]

oh one other thing is if your gonna buy him something, also make something to go along with it. just bkuz guys really appreciate the effort even if they dont use it or like it, thats the kind of thing that makes them feel special=]

Do what I did, get him to make a list. It will take a little bit of persuasion of course but if you both make a list of about four or five things, that can really narrow your search down and you will be able to (both of you) get him something that he wants. Or you can see if he likes music or get him a video game.

Something meaningful though is something you have to figure our on your own, for example. My boyfriend was in the army and he has lost his dog tags, and I am replacing them with ones from a jewllery store and I am going to engrave them in something sweet so that he can have a new pair. You just have to ask him.

Heya all, for me and my boyfriends first anniversary, I made him a certifcate, you can change the border and everything to suit its purpose and I wrote on it, Best Boyfriend award, it printed A4 so I stuck it on a huge piece of card then stuck photos of both of us from our holiday and loads of heart stickers, I cut out letters from magazines and spelt out I Love you John, Love Lindsay.

He loved it and stuck on his walla above his bed...it took me 3 days to make because of the size of the card but it was worth every minute just to see the look on his face. Love isn't about age, its about the person you are with that matters, and how they make you feel, I still get butterflies when he comes home from work, I real gem...

Hope that helps

A female reader, anonymous, writes (12 December 2007):

wow. I'm sure as hell glad I found this site. Well, actually I still stick to my original idea, but now I like it better than before.

I'm 16, my boyfriend is 18 and we're together for about five months now. It's actually really cliché, because he's one of the best friends of my older brother and I'm good friends with his little sister. Well, to get back to the point, I'm not a romantic girl. I mean I find it cute when a girl gives her boyfriend a picture of them, but I couldn't do it. That would just be too...cheesy. Or all the ideas with hearts and `I love you´'s and forever. But that's nothing against the ones of you who'll do that. It's just not me and he knows that, so that's not the problem, even if he is really romantic.

So there aren't many ideas left, but as we never really spend time alone, but always with our friends (actually I cannot think of more than five occassions we spent compltely alone), I decided that going somewhere with him in the holidays would be a good present.

The only problem is that he has to take his final exams this year and I'm not sure how much time he has got.

Well, so thank you all really really much!!

(And I wish you a nice Christmas with your boyfriend.)

Hi there!

I know how you feel. I'm 16, and I have a 14 year old boyfriend. We've been together for 1 1/2 months. I know, you're probably thinking why I chose a younger guy. I love his personality. Anyway, you're young still, and there's no need to spend a bunch of money on him. Make him something like a coupon book, or come up with a poem. You could also make him cookies. I did that for a boyfriend's birhtday. He'd love it if you make him something, because it's something that comes from the heart, and it would mean so much more than something you can buy from the store. You can't buy love.
