This is going to sound stupid but I have a fear of going away on holiday. I have been on many holidays but its since I have hit around 16 I have become less bothered about going away. The thing is I am going with my girlfriend in a week and I am already scared about going without parents. I start thinking we're on out own and won't have them there. I am looking forward to going but I have these thoughts about being' far away from home' and 'away from family' and I want to get them out of my head so that I can have a good time?

I mean the worry may even go when im there and I might not want to come home.

candy00s agony auntIm in exactly the same situation as you and i feel the same!

I go on friday and im terrified!

I think once im there itll be okay its just the first time away on your own (in a sense) is going to feel scary.

Try not to think about it too much and try to concentrate on having a nice time.

You got your girlfriend and she might feel the same as you do, try talking to her tell her you feel a bit nervous about it all.

Im sure we will both be fine you will have a lovely time

Jamer70 agony auntIt will definently seem scary going away with out your parents who have always been with you. But once your there you will enjoying yourself so much you will forget all about your fears and have a great time. You will be fine as your parents trust you enough to let you go away by yourself so you must be mature enough to look after yourself.
