I'm not sure which party to go to next march,as they are both on the same weekend.one is a fan party for my favourite band in london, and the other is a party for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary.i went to another fan party for the band in london this year and i've heard there will be one every year.its just if i dont go next year i would have to wait until the year after and i love london and enjoy seeing my friends there.i dont get to go to london very often as i dont live near there.i dont get to see my family very often either as they live all over the country.i only want to go if my cousins are going though as they are around my age .i dont really like my aunt, whose anniversary it is,either, but i do get on well with my cousins.what do you think ?

Tisha-1 agony auntIt depends on which is more of a priority to you: your own personal entertainment or celebrating with your far-flung family a happy anniversary?

I personally would regretfully miss the fan party and go to the celebration of 50 years of marriage. They don't have parties generally for 51 years or 52 years, you'd have to wait until the next big milestone, and frankly, your aunt or uncle may not be here for the next one.

But that's me. What are YOUR priorities? Maybe think of it this way, which one will you regret that you missed more in 5 years time?

So_Very_Confused agony auntOld lady here... I vote for the family party. Esp if the band has a party every year. You only get ONE fiftieth anniversary. and that's a HUGE big deal.

xTheAlmightyDuckx agony auntWell personally i know it might sound harsh but i would go to the band concert, maybe its just because i'm young i don't know but i guess sitting around all night pretending to be having fun when i could be doing something ten times better would be my idea of hell.

k_c100 agony auntGo to the family party, you dont see your family much and this 50th anniversary will only happen once. It is important you are there to celebrate with them, whereas you can go to these fan parties every year and no-one will notice whether you are there or not, whereas if you missed rhe family party then a lot of people would notice you're not there and would be upset by that.

If you want to go to London save up a bit of money and go down there on a different weekend, I'm sure you could stay with your friends or find a hotel, that way you get to visit the city you love and see your friends. Then just wait until next year to go to the fan party.

Regardless of what you think of your aunt, family is family and you should be there. Fan parties are nowhere near as important as seeing family so of course family should come first.

I hope this helps and good luck!
