I'm not sure about her behaviour - is she a flake?

Question - (31 December 2012) 1 Answers - (Newest, 31 December 2012)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

i've been seeing this girl, and i can't lie, she's confusing the crap out of me. we met about two months ago when she started working with me. one night, a few work friends, including her, all went out for drinks, and after everyone left, she came straight out and admitted she had a huge crush on me - which was great since i was feeling the same way. well since then, it's all kinda been a big jumble. when we are together, i really feel that she's incredibly into me. she's very physically affectionate and tells me that since we've started spending time together, she's noticed that she doesn't even look at other people anymore, etc. and she told me she wanted to date just me and only me. and i can feel the sparks fly between us. it's obvious. but then random things will happen, like last night. she told me she wanted to see me when i got off of work. well i sent her a text around 10:30 pm letting her know i was off, and i proceeded not to hear anything back from her til 1:30, when she apologized saying her and her friends she was with got extremely drunk and she got sick. and she apologized and apologized over and over again for not getting in touch with me til so late. she seemed legitimately sorry, and literally apologized about 10 times and said she is sure that i'm probably mad or annoyed, and understandably so if i was. and truthfully, i am. that really puts me off because it makes me feel blown off. i know people make mistakes, and i far from expect her to be perfect. but there's been a few issues similar to that already, and i just don't know how to play this situation. i don't want to get involved with a flake. a little advice?

It sounds like she likes you, but if you don't want to get involved with a flake then you better avoid her because that's just what she is.

I can't stand flaky people either so I can understand what you're talking about. however, if you like her I just want to enjoy yourself then put up with it I guess; nobody's perfect.

if you haven't done it already you may want to tell her how you feel about her being so flakes, maybe it's just a rare occasion that you happen to witness a few times already.
