It may sound stupid but you should wait till the right guy shows up. No matter your personality there's always at least one person in the world who thinks your the most beautyful person in the world!  You are still only very young, you have got all the time in the world to get a boyfriend. Don't be in to much of a rush, relax, enjoy yourself, have fun with your mates and i bet you get a boyfriend when you least expect it.

My best advice to you is to just try and be friends with some boys, then it may turn into something. How?...talk to boys on the bus. talk to them on msn etc...

 heya hun. I thought the exact same thing as you at your age (im now almost 17) and I dont have much of a confident personality. I have mood swings. I dont liek to go out and hve fun. I hate being around big crowds and etc etc.
I thought I had a rubbish personality and all my other friends were getting boyfriends and admirers and i felt so left out. But you know what...I met someone and ive been with him for over a year now and we started going out on the first day we met.
So your personality may aswell attract other guys and you will have lots of boyfriends while ur in your teens.

First: stop running yourself down, we cant all be CO-CO the clown can we?. Just like we cant be as thin as Kate Moss.
You are only young and your personality will bloom as you get older. You sound a little shy, so you could try joining some clubs or take up a hobbie. This would build up your confidence and get you out meeting new people.
You will get boyfriends dont worry about that, there is someone out there for everyone, you just need to be patient. And confidence is the key.
