 Well as every else mostly states, it varies a lot from guy to guy. I think anywhere around 15-20 minutes would be 'good/normal'. If it isn't the 1st time of the night for the guy, then it can last an hour or so. As someone said, men can have multiple orgasms, but if there is an actual release (ejaculation), the penis must become mostly soft before doing it again. This is a medical fact due to some valve thing to prevent the accidental discharge of urine when ejaculating.
I heard guys talk about lasting 'hours', but that wouldn't be possible unless it either wasn't their 1st time for the night, or they have a serious medical issue. As for the showering/masturbating 1st, that is good advice for any guys who are quick to finish. My wife had a boyfriend (she never slept with him, actually with anyone but me), but when they were making out, she would stroke his penis for 10 seconds max and he would cum. When she told me this, I joked that he would have been horrible in bed, he should have taken the shower/masturbate 1st advice.
Are you asking because you are 'quick'? If so, try the masturbate 1st thing. Do it about an hour prior to expecting to have sex. Hope this helps.

It really depends and i can promise you.you won't find a specific answer.But generally,if you rarely have sex or you are doing it for the 1st time,don't be surprised if you come much earlier than you expected but the more experience you gain the more longer you take and the more you are able to control it.2nd round should last pretty longer.I remember lasting for so long that when we came out of the bedroom it's dark.We had gone in after lunch.I also remember the times when immediately i penetrated her i released and went limp.Don't set targets,not helpful at all.Just enjoy and have your partner's desires in mind.Generally,the more you do it with THE SAME PARTNER,the longer you'll last,Changing partners also affects your lasting strength.

 You last as long as you want and your strength can hold up. I've had intercourse lasting 20 minutes to several hours. I think the more you do it the more you have control over when you ejaculate. It comes with age and experience. And ejaculating once doesn't neccessarily mean it's over...men can have multiple orgasms too...You can keep it up and go longer if you have the stamina and a willing partner.
When I was younger having that second orgasm was a tough hill to climb. Now I can go two maybe three times in one seesion.

If you know you will be having sex with your partner that night, have a shower and masturbate to ejaculation. This will make you last longer.
Another thing you can try which works, is the stop/start method. While you are having sex with her, develop a signal to let her know you are coming close to climax, like a word, or a squeeze of her arm. When you give the signal the 2 of you can slow or stop, this way you can allow the moment to pass then start again.
As time goes by, by doing this method you can work on extending the time between the stop/start.
One of the main reasons men are quicker to climax is the fact that are very sensitive. There are gels/lubricants you can purchase that desensitise the area. But be careful, you don't want to get this stuff in her, would work better if your using a condom.
The final suggestion is sex...and lots of it. A man always cums quicker if he hasn't regular sex. The more sex you are having, the longer you will go.

 How long is a piece of string?. Its a tough one to answer as every guy is different, some guys may ejaculate after 2 minutes, or some after 20 minutes, depending on how horney they feel i guess. Second time around, if they feel like having another go, they could go on longer.
