Could her "ball sucking" cause problems for me in later life?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I am getting concerned over something my girlfriend does to me almost every day. I am worried that it may have long term affects on my sterility, or worse.

We have a great sex life (she is really hot!) and make love almost every day. During foreplay, she sucks my balls into her mouth, pulling them in and out like she is eating a tootsie pop (lolly pop). She says how she loves my balls and doing that to them. We never have sex without having my balls sucked before hand. I think she is obsessed with them, because even when she has her period, she does that while I take care of business myself. This is the first girlfriend I have had with that type of obsession. Is that unusual?

It feels both awesome and painful at the same time, and sometimes my balls ache for a few hours after she does that. I find that it heightens my orgasms and don't want to discourage her from doing that, but at the same time, I don't know if having my balls sucked like that has any negative medical problems. I don't want to find out a few years from now that I am sterile because of this daily practice. Are there any older guys out there who have had this done to them regularly when they were younger and if so, have you had any medical problems as a result?

I hate you so much right now. Nearly every day?? I'm luck if my girlfriend does this once every few months, and it's usually only for about a minute, and this is my favorite experience. Now that I'm throughly depressed, my only advice to you is relax and enjoy it, you have no idea how lucky you are.

I'd say you're a really lucky guy. I'm an older guy (mid forties) who happens to love having a woman do that to me. I had a woman who did it for extended periods on nearly a daily basis for years during my younger days. It never caused any medical problems or sterility.

Of course, this is anecdotal evidence and I'm only speaking for myself. But my experience says testicles are pretty durable and you have nothing to worry about. You might want to tell your girl to be a bit more gentle - just for your own comfort if nothing else.

My wife does that too, only not every day. We have 3 kids. I don't think there are any medical problems associated with it. After all a vesectomy involves snipping and that is pretty traumatic, right?

I say if you enjoy it like I do then just relax. Just tell her to watch the teeth!

C. Grant agony auntI've never heard of it leading to long-term issues, but then again I've never heard of a couple where it part of the routine. You're a lucky guy to have such a hot girl!

One thing I will say is that if you were trying for a baby that this practice wouldn't be helpful. There's a particular temperature that's optimal for sperm production, which is why the scrotum expands and contracts to keep the testicles at a certain distance from the body. Her mouth is probably too warm a place. I doubt that's an issue for now. Enjoy!

The reason they're hurting after sex is because when she has been sucking on your balls, she'll have increased blood flow into them and they'd become somewhat swollen. After sex, the balls try to retract and shrink back to protect themselfs in general while your body creates more sperm.

There is nothing wrong with it, but if you're really wanting to help things along a bit thenafter sex, you may want to apply a hotwater bottle to your ball sack area for several minutes to minimalise any tissue damage and keep any cells expanded and relaxed.

note that prolonged exposure to heat such as a water bottle has been show to decrease sperm movement, however it is temporary and your balls recover from it after a day or two when the regular heat is stoped being applied.
