charliesdevil73 agony auntMost STD's are transferred through genitals touching. Although it is unlikely to catch them from someone who has not had sex, it can be done. If that person has given oral, they may have caught something. If they have got close to sex (genitals touching) they could have caught something. And as PM says, blood transfusion and even through parents is a way they could catch them. get checked if you are worried. try a free clinic if you don't want your parents to know.

And PM is also right about confidence. You could try to think back to what may have lowered your confidence and maybe you can get it back up again.

A male reader, PM Canada +, writes (30 November 2010):

PM agony auntYou can only catch diseases from carriers of a disease. If you had sex with someone who was a virgin, then it's unlikely that you could catch a sexually transmitted disease from them as sexual intercourse is the main way HIV and chlamydia are transmitted. A person can also get them through blood transfusions or if their parents were carriers, but that is much less common, especially in 1st World countries.

Confidence is a matter of knowing yourself and a matter of knowing that you're capable of getting what you want out of life. To become more confident, you need to convince yourself that you're a capable person who can handle life and the easiest way to do that is usually to set goals and go after them.
