A female reader, Ciar Canada + , writes (12 October 2013):

Ciar agony auntPosting her pictures does not make you a stalker, but it is crossing the line. Would you appreciate it if someone pasted your photo to every telephone pole in the country? And without your permission? Well, you made her photos available to everyone all over the world. She is justifiably angry.

The etiquette that applies to hard copy photographs also applies to digital images. Unless you have the permission of all parties in those photos to publish them, you keep them in your private collection.

So take her photos down at once, and any that include her and don't ever publish them again.

Soconfusedanymore agony auntUm.. I would've been mad too, or weirded out in the least. Do you know her? Did u take the pic yourself? Were you in the pic? The only people I personally would want sharing my pix are my family, and friends I'm in the picture with. You're not her bf, and really I would take them down before you tick her off more. Definitely not the right way to get your crush to notice you..

Honeypie agony auntIf you don't have their permission to share them, then yes that is NOT OK.

Would you want some random person to put YOUR picture on their Facebook?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (11 October 2013):

You should have told her that you liked her (and asked her out). Forwarding her pictures AND leaving her clueless did not make sense to her. That's why she was angry. You are not as much of a stalker as you are wimpy. It's simple: if you like the girl, you ask her out. That applies to all you boys out there!

A female reader, YouWish United States +, writes (11 October 2013):

YouWish agony auntIt depends on the pictures. Did YOU take the pictures yourself, or did you copy them from hers or someone else's Facebook?

If you did take the pictures yourself, did you do it with her knowledge and permission, meaning are they pictures she fully knew you took and were okay with you taking them?

You are in the wrong if you posted pictures you copied off of someone else's FB, because they are not yours. Especially if you copied off of HER FB page and re-posted them. If you took them of her without her permission, then that is stalker-ish.

I could easily simplify this - if you have a crush on her, why piss her off by keeping them on your site? Take them down, apologize for upsetting her, and tell her you have a crush on her. Arguing and leaving them up won't win you any points with her if she's comparing you to a stalker!
