Yes I have a crush on this guy. I dreamt about him. Can anyone tell me if this indicates changes in my feelings towards him?

A female United Kingdom age 26-29, anonymous writes:

On general, I don't dream. When I do dream, it's usually when I'm ill, and then it's a nightmare.

I have feelings for someone in my year. I'm not quite in love with him yet,(or if I am, I don't want to admit it), but it's more than a crush.

Last night, I was thinking about him before I went to sleep. I can't remember exactly what I was thinking, just about him in general.

I dreamt very vividly about him. I had gone round to his house, and he was the only one there, and he was upset about something, (I think it was a crappy day at school or something). He told me all about it, and then we kissed, and fell asleep together on the sofa.

When I woke up, I had aranged my duvet cover in my sleep into the exact position I remember him in my dream.

I don't believe in all this superstitious dream nonsense, but I barely ever move around in my sleep, let alone dream and do anything like this. I had never dreamed about him before.

It's probably nothing, but could anyone tell me if this changes how I feel towards him, or if it means anything at all?

I do know him. I know him really well. We're friends. I go to his house at least once a week. He often tells me about his problems.

k_c100 agony auntDreaming about someone you like is normal, all this confirms is that you like this guy.

You cannot love someone you are not in a relationship with - this is a common mistake teenagers make, so many teens say 'I love xxx I see him around school and I cant stop thinking about him', but this isnt love, it is just a strong crush. Love only comes when you know someone inside and out, when you spend lots of time with that person and love every part of their personality, bad bits and all. Love comes when you are intimate with that person, when you can be comfortable being yourself around that person and dont have to try to impress them.

You dont have any of that yet, because this is just some boy you see at school and perhaps occasionally talk to. That is not love, you just like him a lot!

Dont worry about your dream, you obviously like this guy and that is all the dream meant. You dont love him because that is not possible yet, you just like him. If you like him then try talking to him some more and start to make things happen, dont spend forever just dreaming about the guy!
