 I've been reading a lot of confusion from a lot of aunts that are not from United States.
The thing is that the age of conscent varies from state. For example, in my state, Texas, the age of coscent it 17. While in California is 18. And in Ohio is 16.
Well, the thing is that she's well below age of conscent, and it doesn't matter at what age you would give birth, but at the age you had sex with the guy.
But nobody cant inprison your boyfriend unless your parents dictate so. A lot of parents, although they may have grief, most likely will want the father of their grandchildren around and make them take responsibility. Also, bear in mind that your boyfriend is still a child, so your parents might be more lenient with him.

Well, Im assuming the American age of consent is also 16, which means yes, he would be breaking the law and could possibly be charged with sex with a minor. These kind of cases hardly ever result in a custodial sentance, but there is a possibility, when taking into consideration his age, vulnerability etc.
But if you are thinking of having a baby right now, I would strongly advise against it for a million reasons. A baby should be born once a couple if financially able and have their own home. You have plenty of time, enjoy being a teenager, it dosnet last very long! xxx

No he would only go to jail if your parents pressed charges. Young kids have babies all the time. So it's really up to your parents if he goes to jail but considering the age gap isn't big I dont see them putting him in jail just keeping you two apart for a while.
