A female India age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I'm getting married in exactly a month to my long time bf! We both have not had penetrative sex ever since we have been saving it for our wedding night. We are both 29. I'm worried that the first time will be uncomfortable. We are both familar very much with each others bodies since we have been having foreplay and bringing each other to orgasm for years...but still, as the day approaches, I feel scared. He seem to be quite confident about the whole thing and I am not that confident. Besides, I want myself to bleed as I loose my hymen beacuse I want to show him that I have never had sex with anyone else before. Do all girls bleed in the first time they have penetrative sex. We have had trust issues earlier, so i want to prove him I have been pure. Please give some advice!

DoubleM agony auntAgain, you will probably bleed some the first time, and I understand that is important in your culture as a sign of virginity. But I believe that a fully grown (and developed) woman may not bleed as would be likely with a girl under say, 18 or so. But if your hymen is still fully intact, and depending on a number of factors, there should be evidence of bleeding. Best wishes.

TasteofIndia agony auntHello, my dear.

Not all women bleed their first time. Many do, some do not - either way will be normal and healthy.

Your first time may very well be uncomfortable. In fact, it will be, if you've never been penetrated before. I know it was for me!! It took a month for my body to get completely relaxed enough for my fella to penetrate all the way and for us to actually have legit sex!! Lucky, he's patient and sweet so the time we spent attempting was a ton of fun. Since you two are so comfortable with each others bodies, it will be much easier for you. You two are already in tune, and you'll probably have had lots of practice already.

Congratulations, take your time and enjoy the scenery!

Dear DoubleM, I'm the one who posted this question. You say 'at your age' you probably won't bleed much. Do you think if I had been younger I would have bled more? I'm worried. I want myself to bleed. :( You guys must be wondering why I worry about something which seems pretty unimportant. But in India, where I come from, these things go a long way.

DoubleM agony auntCongratulations on your upcoming wedding! And to answer, you will likely bleed a bit, but probably not very much at your age. In my opinion, you should be entirely relaxed and rejoice in the moments that you consummate your love. Be calm and best wishes.

Actually not everyone bleeds their first time because the layer of skin could have broke alredy from playing sports or something like that. So theres a chance that you dont even have it still..theres tests to prove that your a virgin if u really feel you need to prove it that much then get one and show him.

Okay well from experience i didn't bleed that much when i lost it but then again that's just me. my boyfriend went really slow with me so that it wouldn't hurt but since you want to bleed to show that he's the only male you've had penetrative sex with then just relax, and just take it as it comes because it is the best thing that you will ever feel and losing it to him will really make it special, especially for the fact that it's on your wedding night :)
