We would be pissed about it but she tells me she wants to be with me and we met at the wrong time in our lives but she believes we are soul mates. Now I find out that she is back with her ex and she is all happy with him while I am all lonely and depressed and missing her when I know I shouldnt be.

The path to true love never runs smooth as they say and some people are genuine and others arn't. She lied to you and you have the satisfaction of knowing that you no longer have to put up with her crap!!!
Don't see it as a reflection on yourself, she's the one with the problem.
Allow yourself a little time to grieve, but not for her only for the loss of hopeful dreams. You will find those again with another girl...this one wasn't meant to be.
If she tries to get back with you,be on your guard that she may do this again. Believe me I have wasted the best part of 2 years putting up with similar crap from a guy. I eventually cut him loose and am now dating someone much more mature and even better looking :-)My ex has tried several times to contact me again but I have decided not to ever get involved with him again.
Go out with your buddies and have fun. Happiness and confidence will attract people to you...and you will love again!!!
