reader, anonymous, writes (17 May 2010): A serious answer is that no one here can guess for you who the dad is and it would be irresponsible to tell a man he is the father when there is a chance that another man could be. As soon as your child is born you need to get to the doctors and ask both men to take a DNA test with your child.

 Ask a doctor to help you pinpoint the date/dates for possible conception. And.... get a DNA test done when the baby is done, that is the only 100% fool proof way to know who the baby's daddy is.

 if your due date is october 8th,that means you have conceived around january 15th so the father cannot be your ex.

 If you are absolutely certain that you had a proper period on Jan 1st then the father's baby has to be your friend (not your ex). The fact that you had a period signals that you were not pregnant in December thus triggering the period. Based on what the doctor has told you, you conceived this baby in January and since it is typical to ovulate (produce an egg for fertilisation) about 10 days after your last period then it would all fit together.
