I don't think he means you're not interesting at all. Why would he say that to you!! I think he means it looks like you're open and everything but he still can't work you out.

It means you have no game, no mystery or intrigue, or anything that fascinates or excites him. I'd tell him to hit the road.

id go in another direction . Your an open book meaning that its easy to read you, but with no writing in it , could be that he just cant figure you out .

followtheblackrabbit agony auntOuch. It means that you're not deep-you obvious, "easy" to read but there's nothing really interesting to find out about you. On one hand, it could mean that you're just very innocent and pure if you have these so-called blank pages...but on the other hand, it can just be saying you have nothing to offer. I don't like this comment...especially since it's coming from a guy you like and supposedly likes you. I agree with Sweet-thing, I think that's a jerk move. Trying to make you jealous? Come on, that's lame and honestly, pathetic. If he can't find a better way to get a girl's interest then he's a pop-up book, all glitz but no real depth.

A female reader, Sweet-thing United Kingdom +, writes (20 February 2012):

Sweet-thing agony auntIt means you have nothing interesting written in the pages of your life with your previous experiences. It means you really haven't gotten out there and lived your life long enough to become an interesting, stimulating person although you keep nothing from the person you love, you really have nothing to hide in the first place. It's kind of a back-handed compliment and frankly I think the guy is kind of a jerk for saying that to you.
