Afterwards, she automatically and pro-actively explains to me who this guy was - they have known each other for 5 years etcMy question is- is she trying to hide something by explaining to me ( guilty conscience) or is she trying to re-assure me that this is just an ordinary person? No offence meant but the fact that you had to ask this question suggests you are paranoid/insecure by nature, so she was prob just trying to reassure you!

And yes, I think she wanted to be upfront with who it was. Some guys (and girls) have weird reactions to their partner having friends of the opposite gender.
