He also shouldn't talk down to you like that, there's no excuse. The wanker needs to have a hell of a lot more respect for you than he does.
I wouldn't bother texting him until he can CALL YOU with an apology. Or better yet show up on your doorstep with flowers begging for forgiveness. By you contacting him and acting normal or apologizing, shows him that it's ok to treat you like that.
