i have been with my boyfriend for 1 and half years and we have just split up. i just dont know what to do. he joined friends reunited and got in contact with a girl he knew at school, they have been chatting on msn and texting and apparently have fallen in love. he told me that he has not met her in person since they got back in contact??? but i cannot believe that. i feel as though i want to ring him up and ask him not to do this but he seemed adamant it what he wants. is it worth trying? and even if he did come back how am i meant to trust him. its such a crap situation i dont know what to do please someone reply

A reader, anonymous, writes (30 December 2008):

its like a scene from a film for him right now - all moonlight and roses - they will be laughing about old times etc etc and he may have even fancied her back then and they both will be looking a life through rose coloured spectacles - when they meet up see each other face to face and if they do see each other for a while its bound to wear off, i reckon the excitement will wear off very quickly when reality sets in. I certainly wouldnt wait around to pick up the pieces, i am so sorry you are hurting right now but it will end let him make this silly mistake, in the meantime go out with friends and keep yourself busy and dont be there for him when it all goes wrong.
