A female Czech Republic age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hello,

I wanted to know your opinions.I´m student and I got a summer job during summer. I started to work in one german company whose seat is connected to the seat of another company(german company, too) so we have some common space). Every day I meet my "co-worker",from the other company(he is German).

From the very beginning, he stares at me when he is passing around me, when I´m chatting with "friends" and laughing, he smiles at me, when i look at him(not so often, i´m pretty shy), he always smiles at me, sometimes he says hello to me(in my language, I think he doesnt know that I speak german)or when he is talking to someone and he hears me, he turns around in order to stare and smile at me.

Once we met in an elevator, he stared at me all the time and when i looked at him, he smiled and stared and when I started to "study" floor, he started to stare to the ceiling, he did not iniciate any converstaion:(I know that he is quite friendly and nice to people he knows, but not to people he doesnt know(as my co-workers). When he wasnt at work, i had to go to his company,so I know his name, I found him on facebook and he´s got a photo with some girl(that girl has the same surname as he, but he is not wearing a ring and she lives in a different country-not far away, but not very close. What do you think? Is he just flirting in order to "ameliorate" his day at work? Thanks for answers:)

A female reader, aunt honesty Ireland +, writes (6 July 2011):

aunt honesty agony auntIt's really hard to tell. You both haven't even had a conversation yet so it is way to early to try and make sense of his behaviour. It could be possible that the girl in the photo is his sister. But yet I know a lot of married men that don't wear there wedding ring. Maybe he doesn't have much English therefore he hasn't tried talking to you. Maybe you could strike a conversation in German with him and see how things go.
