A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *atnatxxx writes:

Recently i have been suffering really bad mood swings, i know its normal at my age (14) to get them but theyre worse than normal. On Saturday I was really angry and snapping at everyone. But a secound later i was smiling and laughing. The same yesterday, I was happily playing on my laptop and then i was crying just over a close friend of mine ignoring me on msn. I got really depressed and after id got over it, i relised how pointless it was, and then just a minute later i was flicking back to happy.

Im quite easy going, and let alot of things slide, but lately i havent and its bugging me. My friends have noticed a change in me too. How can i help control my mood swings abit more?

Fairy_Lu agony auntHmm well it could just be PMT or pms but it usually only last a few days and you get it just before your periods you can go on the pill for this which sorts it out but i think its just your hormones go a bit haywire and itl sort itself out i wish i could suggest something else but i only get emotional like you with pms which is controlled by the pill now.

dont worry honey it is totally normal. Why not talk to your friends and parents about it and explain and apologise to them in advanced.
