writes:Okay, so I was in this big dance production at my school, and after I went home I had a message on facebook from this boy.I was already friends with him, and he goes to a neighboring high school. We were friends because we know of each other, but have never talked. He also knows my cousin, and they are mutual friends.Anyway, he messaged me and told me I did a great job. I messaged back and said thank you and we started talking about the show. He told me that he thought I really pretty and he like hunted me down on facebook because he had to talk to me! ( I had been introduced during the show and my pictures were in the senior slide show.)He gave me his number and I decided to text him the next day. We've been texting now for an entire week and I think I have a little crush on him. He really wants to hang out but this is where the problem comes in.I am so insecure and I am nervous as to what he will think. I feel like I might not meet his expectations, and he'll be let down. Also, I have braces ( We're 18! ) and I don't know if he knows that? I have pictures of myself and he's gotten to the the real me online, but the braces are my pretty much my ONE insecurity. So I might just wait 3 weeks until I get them off to meet him because I'm that scared. Also I need some tips on how to make meeting not so awkward. Thank you so much!-Braceface :D

reader, anonymous, writes (14 May 2011): don't be insecure he has already said that he finds you pretty and if you want can even tell him that your having them off in 3 weeks but like make a joke or something just to bring the subject up and then say that your having them off.
i know i don't know hwhat your feeling but the only thing you need to know is that he thinks your pretty so go for it because if you put meeting him off then he may get fed up of waiting
