Every Girl Has Their Periods, Its nothing To Be Ashamed For.

Your mum Won't Mind, Mums never fuss about it, She Knows how it feels

Just sit down and talk to Her,

Im sure she will understand, she will notice soon,

by your mood swings and things like that,

Good luck ,

A reader, anonymous, writes (13 August 2008):

For a start, it's not a problem. Well, periods ARE a problem but I didn't mean it in that way!

How about over breakfast "Mornin' Mum - I came on this morning - any chance of you getting me some extra pads next time you're down at Tesco?"

If hers keep going missing she'll either know where they're going and isn't saying anything or she'll assume you're handing them over to your boyfriend to polish his scooter with.

You'll only have to tell her the once - it's no big deal. If you don't feel you can tell your mum, tell your dad and he'll have a word with her.

I was a late starter too so I'm just going to say this-No matter how much you plead or sulk she will make a fuss. She's your mother. But only for a short while. And trust me when I say that shortly down the road you'll be wishing that she'd make a fuss! :p

Best way to do it is to stop pussyfooting about and working yourself up and just say upfront when you two are alone 'I just started my period, can I take some pads'

Waiting around and thinking about it will just make things worse for you

Honeygirl agony auntMmmmm...... doesnt sound like you have a very open relationship with your mom, so what about casually asking her to "please get you some sanitary towels when she next goes to the pharmacy?". You dont really need to say more than that.... It is a big thing in a girls life also as a mom, when my daughter started her period it was for me a time to realise that she was now a young woman and no longer a little girl....
