writes:I'm currently in love with my guy friend. We text every now and then. Sometimes every day. But sometimes, he just doesn't text me at all. We never did confessed to each other that we like one another. But i heard from his best friend that he said he liked me. It's been 5 months and through out that 5 months, he showed that he liked me. I really really love him. But then suddenly, my ex-boyfriend came back to my life. He has been waiting for me for months too and he is really hoping that i go back with him. But the problem is, i don't love him. I love my guy friend and not him. I feel sympathy for my ex and i don't know what to do. I like my ex. But i love my guy friend. I'm scared that if i go back with my ex, my friendship with my guy friend will be ruined. And what if that guy friend really did like me? I really don't know what to do.

 Well honestly if you don't love your ex, I wouldn't suggest getting back with him out of sympathy. You could resent him for it and I'm sure it would be likely to end, he could feel strung along.
As for your friend, just take the plunge and ask him, try not to be nervous about it, I've told guy friends I like them, and if they haven't liked me back, it's been a little awkward for a while but then back to normal, like a good strong friendship should be.

it doesn't seem very fair to your ex if you get back with him even though you are in love with someone else. why did you split up in the first place? if those reasons are still there, then the relationship will likely fail again won't it? don't get back with him just out of sympathy - he doesn't need your sympathy, the kindest thing would be to leave him alone to find a girl who has the right feelings for him.
your guy-friend might not have the same feelings for you as you have for him, maybe carry on being friends and see what happens. maybe neither of these guys is right for you, there are plenty more in the world - not just those two
