A male Philippines age 30-35, *.Gentleman writes:

Well uhm, I am having a bit of a problem, and I dont know how to fix this, so Im hoping I can find people who can help me with this problem.

I have a girlfriend, and I have been with her for a year, we have had our fun and everything.. but then one day another girl comes in, and I thought all girls were hard to get, and this girl just added me randomly out of no where and just started talking to me, so I thought I could joke around and ask her to be my gf, then directly declare it was a joke, nothing meant, I mean two people that just talked for 5 minutes cant end up together so quickly, so I did, and then she said yes quickly.. this shocked me and I thought I messed up really badly, and then I did, as I attempted to make myself less attractive than my initial first time, but she thought I was cute, so it didnt help, then I said that she should ask her father, with the knowledge that most dads wont consider guys over the internet, but then even he said yes and told me to take care of her or I will regret it.. so I am in deep trouble right now, I am asking anyone who has or knows what this feels like and somehow got out of it, I really need help, I dont want my real gf to misunderstand me and leave me ;~;

How do I get out of the misunderstood relationship??

fishdish agony auntwhy don't you just block her from your IM list? It might be jerky but you also doesn't seem right to be trapped by some desperate online girl..friend..thing.

BettyBoup agony auntWell I guess you have learnt the lesson to be honest and not joke around about these things or it will come back to bite you in the bum!

It's ok because it was just on the internet, not in your local area, where people may talk.

Just break it off with this girl. Make up an excuse to stop it going further. It is kinder to end this sooner rather than later and kinder to your girlfriend too as you are technically cheating, even though you were only messing around.

Say that you have decided you cannot continue with this internet relationship because you are not ready for a relationship, you don't think it will work out, are still not over being hurt by a pretend ex etc, etc, etc. Just let her down gently and be on your way. In the future, don't ask girls out unless you are A)single and B)actually want to go out with them.

Good luck!

janniepeg agony auntI have always known that Phillipinos are humorous, good jokers. How do you know that the father and daughter weren't playing with you?
