A female reader, Debs85 United Kingdom +, writes (3 March 2007):

you cannot expect to get the trust back into a relationship over night, it takes time and everytime you are not together you will be wondering what he is up to but if you decide that you want to make another go of your relationship then you have to take a step back and let him do what he wants to do and go out with his mates. i know all of the time he is out you will worry so do something to occupy your mind and when he comes back you must give him the benefit of the doubt. you must also talk to him about how you feel explain to him that it will take time for you to trust him again tell him that you would rather him be honest about things he has done wrong and you can work out together than find out through someone else because that makes it worse.

hope it helps xxx
