 Its resally whenever you need to in all honesty just go to the toilet and check if you need to change it, how often you change it depends on how heavy or light the flow is

 Around 4 hours if light to medium flow. Depends on the person really, if you have a heavy flow sometimes 1-2 hrs.
Ask your mum if you comfortable enough, she will be a perfect person to ask!

 The best thing to do is go to the bathroom regularly and just keep checking.You'll sometimes be able to "Feel" when you need to change.It's a good idea to keep some baby wipes in your bag as well,just for freshness and peace of mind.Hope this has helped. xx

iam glad to help you on this one has this time in you life can be a bit scary because you body is turning into a young lady.
well you need to change you pad every few hours depends on your flow. if there is not a lot there then you can go up to 3 hours sometime 4 with out changing them but the best thing to do is check every time you go to the loo if it seems a bit full change it because if you leave it to long you will start to smell so make you you have extra washs to keep clean.
try talking to your mum about it has she is the best person to talk to.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 December 2007): You should really talk to your mother about it. She will help you becuase she has lots of experience. But you want to be hygenic so i would say whenever you think its getting full or at least 2 every 8 hours! Make sure you be extra hygenic when you have it, to prevent smell.
