its just one of those things that you cant always control. sometimes your the 1 minute wonder sometimes you go for so long you pass out at 5 in the morning.
but i would say stamina!

 I hate to brag here but I have had sexual sessions for many hours at a time. No viagra. And porn stars have been doing it long before the inventon of Viagra.
But I'm sure these days they use the stuff, just like athletes cheat using steroids.
But theres a few things involved, besides the drugs out there. Good healthy living, eating good, excercising, getting enough sleep (when you arent having sex, which is the best excuse not to sleep). A combination of all these factors lead to a rigorous sex life.
Good genes probably help too, no doubt. If your body produces a healthy normal dose of testosterone it also is a huge factor in the health of your sex life.
Low testosterone = lower sex drive = weak boners = its all a cycle.
If you feel you have a big problem with lasting long during sex, you should see a doctor. It may be a situation with low testosterone or other factors.
Being overwieght can affect your stamina as well.
If you live healthy, have normal levels of testosterone, there's no reason why you shouldnt be able to "keep it up" for a few hours. Of course it also helps if you have a partner willing to do it a longer than a few minutes. Most women want it more than a few minutes, so that's never a problem. Practice does make perfect..right?

 As the others said, its editing, fluffers and viagra. Really do try to find a 'behind the scenes' documentary. They also have something called 'stunt cocks' which are basically body-doubles who can be called in if the guy can't function any longer.

You start lasting longer because you're becoming used to the same thing all the time. I've heard from my male friends there are techniques to last longer and desensitize yourself, but I don't know them. I think they have to do with masturbation too, though.

They don't, frankly. If you see at the end when the guy gets himself off with his hands... it's because he's been filming for so long they're desensitised and can only do it with his own hands.
