How do I tell her how much I love her on her birthday?

A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My best friend (whom is a girl) and I have been best friends since we were in diapers. The problem? I've had a huge as hell crush on her since we were freshmeat in high school. At this point, I'm completely in love with her and every other girl I've ever dated has never EVER compared to her in even the smallest iota! She's everything I've ever dreamed of and more and I have more than a feeling that she is the one for me. She's had plenty of boyfriends throughout high school and college (yes, we went to the same university for four years) and more than half of them were complete assholes. She's been cheated on at least thirteen times (a couple of those times were with the same guy) and if she would just give me half a chance, I could and would most definitely treat her like a queen! Since her birthday is occurring within the next two weeks, I want to know of any suggestions you guys might have for letting her know how I feel and maybe, making this birthday her best, yet. Thanks! =]

How about some things from your childhood? Like photos and toys or something, even just bring up memories, but do it casualy like 'Guess what I found...'

Good luck!

No, she's definitely single right now. Been that way for about six months now. But I'm personally hoping to change that... for good. ;) I don't know how she feels about me at all and that's why I'm so anxious and nervous about this whole ordeal. But we're both very intelligent and mature young adults and I definitely know her well enough to know that she won't completely cut me down. I'm not necessarily using that fact to my advantage, but it's always nice to know you won't get too hurt. I'll probably take her to Navy Pier in Chicago because for some reason, it's one of her favorite places on earth. I might also give her some double-fudge brownies because she would pretty much live off that stuff if she could, lol.

Thanks for the advice guys! Much appreciated! =]

Oh, my gosh, how sweet. :)

You definitely need to perhaps take her out alone to a very nice restaurant and perhaps even a movie? Or whatever she likes, you know? Then at the end of the night let her know how you feel about her. Just tell her as sincerely as you have shared here. It will touch her heart no doubt.

Do you think she may also have feelings for you?

She doesn't currently have a boyfriend, does she? Clearly, that would be a problem.
