A female Canada age 51-59, anonymous writes:

I've been a relationship for 5 years now. We've been through a lot together. I stay at his house almost every day even though I have my own place. A few days ago I received a call from a male friend I did not answer. My boyfriend's friend made a comment. "Oooooh why are you not answering, who could that be." This got my boyfriend upset. He checked my phone later and got pissed that a guy called for me. He accused me screwing around on him and even told me I gave him a rash of some kind. This is not the first time this has happened. I try telling him I would not cheat on him but he doesn't believe me he says I'm a liar. What do I do.

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (29 July 2009):

You should be able to have male friends that GASP call you on the phone.

He has no right to blow up at you like this simply because you carry on seeing your friends that are men.

Tell him he is jealous and controlling and you will not put up with being accused of something simply for getting a phone call.

Don't be in this kind of relationship. Walk away and find a man that is willing to respect you enough to accept you are capable of not having sex with every man you know.

Good Luck!! xx
