Advice? I feel bad. My fiance smashed his finger in the door of a friends house on our way out and I failed to get him ice simply because I didnt think if my friend had any ice. Instead I said lets hurry home I know theres an ice pack there which we did, but his finger has been hurting anyway and I get the feeling hes thinking that I just stood back and watched while he was hurting. I just wasnt thinking..After some self reflection im feeling...will I be the kind of wife want to be, nurturing etc or just kind of not knowing how to react? I also am not the best cook (though he knows how to cook) and he can sew, tidy up, etc but I seem to lack in all these areas...anyway what to do, im more concerned than he

Honeypie agony auntUm, stop beating yourself up?!

We react differently in different situations. It doesn't make you less "maternal" or less of a partner.

I for instance can't handle puking people. I don't care who is puking I can't stand it. If no one else is around I do my best to take care of them (my kids for instance) but if my husband is there... I let him do it. I really don't think that makes me a bad mother. I (can) handle everything else, JUST NOT puke.

Talk to him. He might not even be thinking about it any more at all.

Lol, tell him!!! Tell him what you were thinking and how it's been bugging you ever since. Chances are he'll not think it's a huge deal, but he'll appreciate the sort of NURTURING thoughts you're having right now :)
