 yes it could have broken your hymen and that is why you bled but sometimes the hymen can be broken for no reason, it depends on the woman, so really the hymen is not a true indication of virginity. the only time you lose your virginity is when you have sexual intercourse for the first time. if you are waiting until marriage before you have sex, you can still tell your husband that you have never been with a man, so therefore you are a virgin
