i suggest that you go to a sexual health clinic and ask to be screened for STD's.

 Yes, it is still possible to get both pregnant and an STD. Go to the local free family planning clinic and see one of the nurses there. Get yourself on the pill and ask them for a supply of free condoms for your bf.
