 Well to be honest you should be using condoms with a new partner for a while and you have to treat him as a new partner again. yes it is probably a good idea to pop to your local sexual health centre and get overhauled!! x

 It depends on how many people he has slept with in the past year unprotected, it could be a few, on the other hand he may not have been with anyone. Your best bet would be to if anything sexual happens between the pair of you to take precautions, then when you both get more settled into the relationship again talk about tests maybe then.
