My mum forced me to have a contraceptive implant, and i now am desperate to have a baby with the love of my life.

I want it removed, how do i go about this, i dont want to be judged since i recently had an abortion(against my wishes). I really regret going through with it as my bf does and we want another baby. Any advice?

well inface i have a implant to in my arm and iam want the same as what you want. i ve been told that you can go to the doctors or the hosptail to get it taken out and it doesnt take long to get it removed and once it is out you can get preg straight after. dnt let your mum rule your life you have your own mind and if you and your boyfriend love each then you will be great parents.

xapathyxrebornx agony aunthi as your from the uk this is easy (i got mine removed yesterday)

Okay to your local family planning clinic. there is usualyl a brook service or a family planning clinic local to you usually....go here http://www.multimap.com/clients/places.cgi?client=ruthink_01

and type in your postcode and find your local one.

Its a simple procedure, you must give a reason, if it to have a baby take your partner with you so the nurse can talk to the both of you.

The procedure is quite simple. They lay you on the bed and inject you with a local anestetic (like they did as they put it in)

they make a tiny incision and put some pressure on the other end to bring it out and remove it with little tiny forcets, then they bandage you up..

all sorted

just go to a family planning clinic for it x

Danielepew agony auntI think you're also the girl who spoke about how she was forced into abortion by her mother. Again, just go to the doctor. But don't become pregnant.

A female reader, brooke5426 United Kingdom +, writes (12 February 2008):

brooke5426 agony auntif you are 18-21 years old then you're legally an adult and your mum cant force you to have a contraceptive implant. see your doctor to have it taken out, for gods sake dont try to do it yourself.

But I think you should really give it a lot of thought. Do you live with your parents? Does your boyfriend have a good job? Are you gonna go back to work after the baby is born? How are you gonna support yourself and your child? You really need to be totally sure because once you have a baby you have it for keeps and you have a massive responsibility to it.

But if you are totally sure you are ready and can really do this on your own (cos i dont think your mum will be very supportive) then see your doctor and have the implant removed.

but make sure you are not just doing this because you feel guilty about your abortion and are trying to make ammends by "replacing" the baby.

A female reader, Basschick Australia +, writes (12 February 2008):

Basschick agony auntYour physician is the only one who can remove it safely. But my advise is to keep in in place until you can live on your own and support a child completely without the help of your parents or anyone else. Your b/f might bail on you later so before you plan another baby, consider moving out, getting married and making sure you can both support this child completely. Until then, just enjoy your youth. It dissolves soon enough.
