A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Basically i wanna know if this is homesick or not.

I moved in with my bf about 3 months ago. I have never lived away from home before. Since i've been here i have experienced my first ever late period, my first ever panic attack and been rushed into hospital for the worst illness ive ever had. I've also been sick once and felt sick a heck of a lot. I am also late for my current period as well, but last time as soon as i returned home for a few days my period happened? I dont understand. I only seem to be well and working at home and nothing operates properly here. I am eating, drinking, smoking, sleeping, exercising the exact amounts i was at home, so why am i suddenly ill? Could i just be home sick or something? I miss my mum and home. But i know that if i moved out of here i'd miss been with my bf all the time, and i cant fall asleep unless hes there etc. What could be wrong with me??

Also, i must say. Last month when i had my first ever late period i thought i may be pregnant but three tests came back negative and my period happened when i went home for a couple of days three weeks later than it should have done. And my next period was due yesterday and still hasnt happened. Why dont my periods happen here? Last month i thought i'd worried myself out of a period because i swore i was pregnant, but this time ive not been worrying at all. My boobs are really hurting though and so i am thinking that this time it might be happening.

Take a pregnancy test. Are you using a form of contraception? Does your boyfriend wear condoms? If your having sex and aren't 100% proteced again STI's and pregnancy, then you're greatly increasing your chances. Use contraception/condoms if you wan't to be baby free!

I'm not 100% thats the thing. Last month i really thought i was but turned out i wasnt. And this month my boobs are sore and i havent come on again! Theres a major possibility that i am in actual fact, but i dont wanna put myself through a load of stress for it to turn out im not again!

Yes I'd say being home sick plays a part in this, though you being ill may be something completely seperate. I'm not an expert so I can't say for sure. Perhaps you're suffering from anxiety?

If your boobs are hurting and you're 100% sure that you're not pregnant, then you're likely to come on your period soon. Just relax and try to focus on other stuff.
