writes: my boyfriend of 3 years has just moved down to university, which is about an hour from my house, he comes home to me at weekends beccause he works in a bar. Also at uni is a girl who works in the bar with him and recently he has been getting texts and calls from her at the weekend. I have asked him about it and he says that there is nothing and gets really snappy at me telling me i don't understand cause i'm not a student. I am really worried about it and he wouldn't talk so the other night i checked his phone he has been calling her and i even saw a message saying that she is in her room and for him to come round? am i a physco jealous girlfriend or is he cheating

reader, anonymous, writes (2 October 2006): It is my belief if someone wants to cheat you can't stop them. You need to go with your gut feelings women are rarely wrong when it comes to intuituion about cheating. Just be careful not to drive him into her arms!!

 hey there, maybe they are taking the same class(s)and the text to go to hers could be them helping each other out with work, or study together, or even going to work at the same time, like going together, i wouldnt go too manic about it unless u found a text tht basicly says they are doing 'stuff' together. And the fact that he comes and sees you at weekends other than go out with this girl, is another thing to think about, i wouldnt worry about it. obviously its natural to get jelous about stuff like that but if they are only friends i wouldnt make a big deal about it, i big part of uni is meeting new people and being friends, for all you know, he could be talking about you all the time to her :). just see how things go, keep a eye out for any attitude changes and stuff, and be warned, if he finds you going thru his phone, he wont be happy :$. good luck :)
