 Consider yourself lucky. It was a very personal question, something you would ask a close friend or someone you date and plan to get intimate.
He asked you on FB. Who knows why he stopped talking, but he might have hoped you were already sexually active and looking for casual sex.
Future advice, do not have "dates" by FB. Let a guy ask you out and treat you respectfully. If someone else asks that, try asking them, "And you are asking because?"
